Smaller than others but a great ambience throughout. Staff is friendly. The DJ in the nightclub is not that great. He played too much American pop stuff.

My husband and I had a fantastic, relaxing stay and we were both very impressed with how clean the resort is! We had some small minor concerns and we were pleased that they were addressed right away. There was lots of food choices and the small walk to the beach was lovely and serene. I did not catch the name of our lovely housekeeping ladies but wanted to mention how pleasant they both were. Thank you Viva Heavens for a great week.

I visited this resort with a group of friends a little over a month ago, and in simple terms, was not too pleased. The location was great, as was the music and amenities. My concern was the food and the service. There were not many vegetarian options, and even the "special-made" orders were not very filling. My friends and I called the resort ahead of time, multiple times, to ensure there would be vegetarian meals for us to eat, however, we were welcomed with the employees having no knowledge of our special accommodations. The staff then told us to notify the head chef each morning of our stay to prepare vegetarian options for us, which seemed to not get addressed until it was time for us to eat, calling for extremely long wait times. We also had to make reservations to eat at specific restaurants, some of which were not very accommodating of our large group. I specifically recall making a reservation at one of the restaurants while mentioning the size of my party, and was turned around last minute, while my friends and I were waiting at the front door, forcing us to eat elsewhere. If you are vegetarian, do yourself a favor and do not book a room here, you will not have much to eat at the resort. Most of the employees were very friendly and welcoming, however, some were extremely rude. My friends and I were extremely offended when the staff tried to tell us how to take care of one of our friends who was feeling sick, and when we told them that we are well aware of how to take care of them, we were told to leave the area. Not really a concern, but for younger folks, the crowd that tends to make reservations here are generally on the elder side, so if you're looking for a young crowd at your resort, this isn't the place for you.

being in a group of 14 most of whom were vegetarian, we were astonished as to how difficult it was to convince staff to provide us food options. It seemed like we spoke a different language to them whenever we asked for no meat. I honestly dont think a vegan can survive with the genuine limitations on food for vegetarians. Resort overall is nice and clean with 4 restaurants and 3 bars. Night club is really nice when in a large group. The resort is NOT beachfront and there is a 5 minute walk to it but the beach is not too amazing. Much seaweed and garbage in water. entertainment was really nice and certain staff such as Joel and Caesar stood out. Also water randomly shut off at times and wouldnt come back for hours. Food quality overall is NOT good. Room service food was terrible as well. It's still annoying as to how difficult the food for a vegetarian was.

O hotel é 4*, na compra do ingresso disseram 5*. A cozinha é normal (muita fruta, carne), o álcool é bom. A maior desvantagem é que o hotel tem 90% de pensionistas da Europa e América do Norte. Quem procura festas de jovens prefere outros hotéis. O hotel não é 18+, mas 60+🤦🏻‍♂️. Ao mesmo tempo, o hotel tem discoteca, karaoke e excelente animação, porquê?

We are a couple that booked 2 weeks at the resort through Sunwing.Main likes: great beachfront location with miles of walkable beach, friendly activity/other staff, very good food and dining options, spacious/comfortable rooms and bed and evening activities were fun and energetic.Main dislikes: chaotic ‘no reservation’ dining system when restaurants are full, limited menu at beach grill (although wood-fired pizza is excellent), surf was too rough for ‘leisurely’ swimming in the ocean but still swimmable (no snorkeling), and pesky vendors at the beach can be a nuisance but ‘no, gracias’ will work.Best coffee is at the main bar.Main (buffet) Dining Rm and the ‘Blend’ restaurant are noisy, concrete boxes and could use some sound-deadening furnishings/art.The resort is low-rise buildings and smaller than most - which we liked.The pool is a bit small but we mostly stayed at the beach.Our door key entry and safe constantly needing resetting but the maintenance response was quick.Waitstaff service at the pool and beach is limited.Bring Kleenex and a facecloth(s).Tipping is appreciated.Mosquitoes can be irritating in the evening.Well-equipped gym and spa.Mall nearby has ATMs and some shops plus medical clinic. Recommended excursions include day trip to Cayo Arena and the ’Tip Top’ catamaran trip.Overall, recommended.

Life is What YOU Make it!!! This adults only resort was what my husband and I needed. We are city folks who love entertainment and laughs, with that being said my husband brought this little Ole resort to life. We party, joked laughed, boy did He laugh and had an great time here. Now it is on more of the older crowd side and no mixture of music. The food is not for my liking and we did eat at all the restaurants that were available on site but we also ate in town everyday as well. We were planning on that part anyway for the experience. The staff were all friendly and amazing especially Daddy Kool, Omar,Darwin the cleaning staff as well as our amazing driver Alex. The upper deck pool was my favorite spot loved it. The walk to the beach is pleasant going and coming, very calming and relaxing. It was an experience that we really made our own.

La atención de las personas es muy buena, el lugar es acogedor, pero no tienen comida vegana y las opciones vegetarianas que tienen son como pan o ensalada, necesitan mejorar eso adaptarse a que actualmente hay más personas vegetarianas y veganas en el mundo ni siquiera una solo opción de otra leche que no sea de vaca, me gusto mucho la playa y los eventos que organizaban, algunas veces cerraban restaurantes por eventos como fiesta en la playa y eso limita aún más con las comidas ya que el único restaurante que tiene algo vegetariano es el italiano y no siempre está abierto, excelente servicio al cliente👋🏾👋🏾👋🏾

Best vacation of my life! From the moment that we were picked up from the airport, to the moment we were flying back, everything about the stay was perfect and seamless. The room we stayed in was gorgeous. It was cleaned and restocked daily by the most cheerful woman. The food was amazing - breakfast, lunch, and dinner. For dinner, there were so many restaurant options to chose from - or the buffet is always open if you're in a rush. The bar tenders always had smiles on their faces and always made sure you were topped up! The beach is only but a few minutes walk through lush greenery which makes it worth it. But the biggest pull was the entertainment staff

É um bom hotel, boa localização e quartos agradáveis. A equipe como em todos os lugares foi uma mistura de muito simpática e mal-humorada. A comida era boa, especialmente nos restaurantes noturnos. Para mim, houve apenas 2 problemas. Em primeiro lugar, bebidas como mojitos ou pinacolada suam tanto que dá nojo. E é impossível pedir menos açúcar porque são feitos com uma mistura pronta e cheia de açúcar. E em segundo lugar, a música constante ao redor da piscina. E não é música de evento, mas uma melodia gerada por computador, a mesma coisa indefinidamente. É como uma tortura!

Ótimas férias a equipe sempre simpática e prestativa seja serviço de quarto, recepção nos diversos restaurantes ou bares, equipe de limpeza, não dá para destacar ninguém porque todos são muito atenciosos! Amo este lugar. Sem filhos, boa comida, discoteca nas instalações, muito curta caminhada do quarto para a piscina / praia, e uma EXCELENTE equipe de entretenimento. Foi a minha segunda vez lá, e provavelmente irei voltar em algum momento no futuro.

Cheguei ao Viva Wyndham e a recepção foi absolutamente terrível. Cheguei às 14h15, quando oficialmente o check-in é às 15h. Os funcionários da recepção fizeram o possível para me dar as boas-vindas, mas com pouco entusiasmo. Realmente não me fez sentir bem-vindo. Eles me informaram que meu quarto ainda não estava pronto, mas que eu poderia comer no buffet enquanto isso. Fui tomar um mojito no bar da piscina e voltei às 15h. Mais uma vez, meu quarto não estava pronto, então eles me pediram para sentar. Enquanto isso, outro hóspede chegou, todos ficando em seus quartos imediatamente. Alguns hóspedes que já haviam feito o check-in, também voltaram para buscar as mudanças de quarto por um motivo ou outro. Ainda estou esperando. Às 15h30 eles ainda não tinham me dado meu quarto, então voltei para a recepção para perguntar o que estava acontecendo. O agente me disse que havia um problema com meu quarto. Expliquei então a ela o meu desagrado, já que estava viajando há quase 24 horas para chegar lá e só queria ir para a cama. Eu comentei inteligentemente que, quando fosse a hora de fazer o check-out, eles não aceitariam nenhuma desculpa para eu fazer o check-out tardio, então eu não queria desculpas sobre o check-in atrasado também. Ele foi até o computador e encontrou um quarto para mim, o qual ele me jogou imediatamente, dizendo que era um upgrade. Eram 3:45. Por que eles não podiam ter feito isso o tempo todo? Fui para o meu quarto e embora não parecesse um upgrade, aceitei porque só queria ir para a cama. Fui fazer logon no Wi-Fi e não funcionou. Liguei para a recepção e eles enviaram o homem da manutenção. Ele verificou o roteador e disse que havia algo errado com o sinal do prédio e que ele não podia fazer nada a respeito. Voltei para o saguão e perguntei se havia um lugar que eu pudesse usar com Wi-Fi funcionando porque preciso enviar alguns documentos. Eles me ofereceram uma cadeira no balcão de atendimento ao cliente. Sentei-me para trabalhar e Kelvin (o supervisor) passou e me viu lá. Ele checou na recepção e descobriu por que eu estava lá. Ele veio até mim e novamente se desculpou e se ofereceu para me transferir para uma suíte pelo inconveniente. Daí em diante a minha estadia foi maravilhosa. Eles têm cinco restaurantes no resort, mas apenas três deles estavam abertos. A comida estava deliciosa para todos eles. A piscina é muito bonita, mas na minha opinião um pouco pequena para o tamanho do hotel. Se estivessem em plena capacidade, estaria lotado. A área da praia é muito bonita, espetacular. A academia também é muito pequena, e tem apenas uma máquina elíptica e duas esteiras. O Spa tem uma grande seleção de tratamentos, e desfrutei de uma ótima massagem. Se eles organizarem a recepção, este é um ótimo resort com tudo incluído. Parabéns para Kelvin.

It is a nice hotel, good location and nice rooms. The staff as everywhere was a mixture of very friendly and grumpy.The food was good, especially in the evening restaurants. For me, there were only 2 problems. Firstly drinks like mojitos or pinacolada are so sweat that it makes you sick.And it is impossible to ask for less sugar because they are made with a readymade mix that is full of sugar. And secondly the constant music around the pool. And it is not event music but one computer-generated tune, the same thing over and over again. It is like torture!

I arrived at the Viva Wyndham and the reception was absolutely terrible.I arrived at 2:15, when officially check in is at 3:00 p.m.The reception staff went through the motions of welcoming me, but with little enthusiasm.Really didn’t make me feel welcomed.They informed me that my room still wasn’t ready but that I could go eat at the buffet in the meantime.I went and had a mojito at the pool bar, and came back at 3:00 p.m.Again my room wasn’t ready, so they asked me to have a seat.Meanwhile other guest arrived, all getting their rooms right away.Some guest that had already checked in, also came back to get their rooms changes for one reason or another.Still I am waiting.At 3:30 they still hadn’t given me my room, so I went back to the reception to ask what was going on.The agent told me that there was a problem with my room.So I explained to her my displeasure, since I had been traveling for nearly 24 hours to get there and all I wanted to do was get to bed.At this the supervisor arrived (Kelvin) and asked what was going on, which I explained.He apologized and said that they would get my room as soon as possible.I smartly commented that when it was time to check out, they would not accept any excuses of me checking out late, so I didn’t want excuses about checking in late either.He went into the computer and found me a room, which he game me right away, saying it was an upgrade.It was 3:45.Why couldn’t they have done that all along?I went to my room and while it didn’t look like an upgrade, I accepted it coz I just wanted to get to bed.I went to log on to the Wi-Fi and it didn’t work.I called the front desk and they sent the maintenance man.He checked the router and said that it was something wrong with the signal in the building, and that he couldn’t do anything about it.So I went back to the lobby and asked them if there was a place I could use that had working Wi-Fi coz I need to send some documents.They offered me a chair at the customer service desk.I sat down to work, and Kelvin (the supervisor) walked by and saw me there.He checked with the reception and found out why I was there.He came up to me and again apologized and offered to move me to a suite for the inconvenience.Hence forward my stay was wonderful.They have five restaurants in the resort, but only three of them were open.The food was delicious at all of them.The pool is very nice, but in my opinion a bit small for the size of the hotel.If they were at full capacity it would be crowded.The beach area is very nice, spectacular.The gym is also too small, and has only one elliptical machine and two treadmills.The Spa has a great selection of treatments, and I enjoyed a great massage.If they get their reception in order, this is a great all-inclusive resort.Kudos to Kelvin.

Love this place. No kids, good food, nightclub on the premises, very short walk from the room to the pool/beach, and an EXCELLENT entertainment staff. It was my second time staying there, and I will most likely return sometime in the future.

The resort was very clean, rooms lovely and right on the beach. Gorgeous pool and bar with lots of different food options. The Italian on the beach was so good and lovely setting. From the moment we arrived, the staff could not do enough for us. Some of the friendliest people I have met. They made our stay the best it could be. The entertainment staff were fantastic, big shout out to Floki, Bubaloo and Baby who we made great friends with. They were so friendly and outgoing and put on some great shows! The bar staff and resturaunt staff were also superb and very accommodating to everything we needed and always service with a smile :) Loved every minute of our stay and will definitely be back!

Awesome stay at Viva, no kids, place was immaculate, the entertainers, as well as the rest of the staff were so friendly and hospitable. Nice accommodations for their nightly rates. The club, was so much fun after each nightly themed live music show we would go there. Shout to restaurant mgr. Santos, always so helpful, Marisela at Fusion, Victor and Pedro - The best bartenders, Dexter, and Orquidea and Deylin- entertainment. Such hard workers. The unfortunate part is that the place is full of Europeans that don't tip. Shameful. Things that can use improvement: another bar by the beach, or more waiters by the beach area, since the lines can get pretty long. Also, reservations or a list for a la carte restaurants. It gets pretty hectic when you have to wait and the host has to try to remember the order of the guests. Overall I would definitely go again, I loved it so much that I attempted to book an extra night when we were suppose to leave but they were all booked!

This resort was smaller than I expected from a 5 star resort. However the service staff was incredible I love everyone. They treat you very well and friendly. The resort was super clean all the time. I visited neighbouring resort and it was very messing in comparison. The entertainment was great they get everyone involved and the food was good. I know most people are saying the food is bad but you need to go outside of the resort to see what the locals eat to compare. I went out of the resort for 3 days to see DR and I have to say that this is a very nice place to stay at. I would come back here. Only problem was the door lock did not lock and the TV does not work. But I wasn’t in the room anyways. Kelvin/floki you are awesome !!!

Os pedidos foram feitos às 19h; 2 aperitivos e 2 entradas. 19h40, pedimos um pedido simples, pois notamos que os clientes sentados atrás de nós recebiam os pedidos. Ao solicitar 2 vezes, o garçom: José Alberto, revirou os olhos, olhou para nós e foi embora. Novamente sinalizamos para o garçom e ele começou a olhar para nós e se afastar. finalmente o servidor voltou para a nossa mesa e pediu o nosso pedido "de novo, de novo." São 21h30 para o nosso aperitivo chegar.Depois de irmos falar com o atendimento ao cliente, fomos mais bem atendidos. Todos foram extremamente amigáveis. Depois daquela primeira noite terrível, eu classificaria este Resort um sólido 2,5. Como meu irmão é um turista americano e um membro militar ativo em um país estrangeiro, somos cuidadosos e diligentes para sermos muito formatáveis, respeitosos e pacientes em nossas negociações. Temos sido nada menos do que compreensão.

Este é um hotel antigo com apenas uma piscina. Definitivamente representado erroneamente como um 5 estrelas com tudo incluído. Positivo: - Localizado em uma bela praia - O pessoal é muito amigável - As massagens foram excelentes e com preços razoáveis ​​para um resort. - As precauções de segurança da COVID são bem implementadas e fazem você se sentir seguro. This is an older hotel with only one pool. Definitely misrepresented as a 5-star all-inclusive. Positive: - Located on a beautiful beach - Staff is very friendly - Massages were great and reasonably priced for a resort. - COVID safety precautions are well implemented and make you feel safe. Negative: - Food is barely edible, bland and mostly overcooked. The beach snack bar was definitely the better lunch option and Sofrito for dinner was quitegood. Do not order room service under any circumstances. - Hotel is in need of major maintenance and seems to only have one maintenance guy who responds to all the complaints. Our first room: Toilet was not flushing properly, safe wouldn't lock, on second night we found a nest of bees in the ceiling lamp. At this point we were upgraded to a new room in which: AC didn't work, safe didn't work and there were issues with with warm water and water pressure each morning. - COVID testing is performed at the medical center 2 minutes down the road and not onsite. You must get there at 9am, any later and you risk being kicked out when the staff wants to go to lunch. The results didn't arrive by email until the afternoon of the next day.

Great resort for couples. Had a great time and would recommend. If the WIFI wasnt spotty i would give it 5 stars.

Check in 1. Reservations could not be located; nearly 1 hour delay. 2. Room reserved was for 2 beds, room received 1 bed No power, No running water.15 min later upon waiting, maintenance arrived with an attitude. 3. Called customer service to get Room replaced, notified all rooms were booked; 6am. 4. New Room issued at 1240pm next day 5. Sofrito restaurant: Was seated upon arrival. Orders were placed 7pm; 2 appetizers and 2 entrees. 740pm, we asked for a simple upon on the order, as we noticed customers being seated after us were getting orders served. Upon requesting an upon 2 times, waiter: Jose Alberto, rolled his eyes, looked at us and walked off. Again we signaled for waiter and he proceeded to look at us and walk off. finally server came back to our table and asked for our order "again, again." It is 9:30pm for our appetizer to show up. After going to speak to customer service, we were treated better. Everyone was extremely friendly. After that first terrible night, I would rate this Resort a solid 2.5. As my brother being an American tourist and as a active military member, in a foreign country, we are careful and diligent to be very formattable, respectful and patient in our dealings. We have been nothing less than understanding.

Este lugar era lindo e feito para uma semana super divertida com meus amigos. A comida era boa, mas ficou meio velha no final da semana. DADDY COOL acabou se divertindo e fez um trabalho INCRÍVEL! Ele é um cara superenergético que tornava as atividades noturnas e diurnas muito divertidas. A equipe foi útil, exceto para a recepção que continuava nos dando informações falsas.

No geral, um resort muito agradável, tenho ficado em locais mais agradáveis ​​de Viva Wyndham em DO (Dominicus Palace), mas no geral foi ótimo para tentar um lugar novo. Eu recomendo excursões para mergulho em Sosua nas proximidades.

This place was beautiful and made for a super fun week with my friends. Food was good but got kinda old by the end of the week. DADDY COOL was over entertainment and did an AWESOME job! He’s a super high energy guy that made the night and day activities tons of fun. Staff was helpful except for the front desk who kept giving us false information.

Overall a very nice resort, I have stayed at nicer Viva Wyndham spots in DO (Dominicus Palace) but overall it was great to try somewhere new. I recommend excursions for snorkeling in nearby Sosua .

Pequenos adultos apenas resort. Muito bem, pessoal super agradável e boa comida. Nós nunca fomos a um resort tão pequeno e foi ótimo. Temos ficado em muitos resorts de 4 e 5 estrelas e este é o primeiro resort que vamos voltar.

Adorei minha viagem, tudo foi muito bom, a comida, a equipe e o hotel. Valor ao dinheiro que atendeu às minhas expectativas e muito mais. Como bem durante toda a semana, o cardápio é variado e há uma escolha. Os buffets são lindos e tudo está bem definido. Eu recomendo este hotel. Small adults only resort. Very quite, super nice staff and good food. We have never been to a resort this small and it was great. We have stayed at many 4&5 star resorts and this is the first resort we are going to come back to.

We just got home from this resort and do not have anything but excellent things to say . The food was good, the staff couldn’t do enough for you. Everyone of the other guests were friendly The rooms were clean and comfortable and very roomy The only thing I wish the resort would show they have a cigar lounge and premium drinks which run separate from the resort at very reasonable prices for both cigars and drinks. Both Gabriel and Jackie are knowledgeable about cigars. We spent almost every night with them. We will certainly be going back

I did a week alone at this beautiful resort. Mama B was the best and her crew did a great job entertaining everyone.

We stayed at Viva Heavens October 5-15th. We had the best time!! The rooms are clean, the grounds were immaculate and staff were awesome! The food was great too. A big shout out to the fantastic entertainment staff, Daddy Cool, Momma B, Malibu, Winnie the Poo, Snow White, Palamo and others were so talented and made our stay extra great. We would Definitely stay here again😃

Loved our experience here. Stayed for 7 days and the rooms were always clean, Ac was ice cold and they had so many staff taking care of the grounds. The staff still put on a lot of events despite not too many guests at the resort. No problem finding chairs by the pool or beach. The food at the buffet was always good, the restaurants were tasty. The only complaint I have is that the walls are paper thin, your neighbours will be your alarm clock. Still had a wonderful time here.

Everything is exactly like the pictures, rooms are spotless, the outside area of the resort was constantly being cleaned, there is a good selection of food and you don't need to reserve in advance for the specialty restaurants. But what made the real difference is the entertainment team. I got here in the quite season (beginning of August) and even though the resort wasnt very busy, they went above and beyond to keep everyone entertained. They all worked incredibly hard, but a special mention goes to Daddy Cool, he will make you laugh. Only caution is if you have difficulty walking the beach is about a 5 min walk from the hotel. Overall highly recommend!

The room service food was the only disappointment. Otherwise the hospitality and the views were amazing! I recommend a massage on the beach. It was totally relaxing.
