Half the furniture was missing, no couch or chairs, shower curtain was mildued, killed 2 roaches, big stains on carpet.

I want to say first, my husband is a gold level Choice Rewards member. Now, where to start…. We were assigned an accessible room, but we didn’t want one. They told us there wasn’t anything else available. The bed is about 1 foot off the floor. Very difficult to get out of it. The carpet is dirty and has paint stains on it. Baseboards are missing. The desk chair vinyl is peeling and dirty. The room apparently has been freshly painted and reeks of paint fumes. Well, at least the walls were freshly painted. That’s the best I can say. All in all, a pretty disgusting and disappointing stay. This is how they treat their gold First Choice members?? BTW…. This horrible room was $175/night!! Addendum…. I found a wall plate screw (like you use over your electric outlets) in the bed, under the top sheet, but on top of the mattress pad. This is the carpet. Paintball over it. Paint all over. I understand that it may be under renovations, but give us a discount. This is totally unacceptable! The reply missed one of the major points. I DONT WANT a low bed. I am not in a wheelchair.

2 night stay - beware - Room was filthy. Stay somewhere else. Ratings are highly misleading. The response is an absolute lie. No one offered to clean the room. Upon check-in the young lady at the front desk was nice and helpful during check in. Once in the room the air had a strong musty ordor. I notice the floor being sticky when I walked. I went to the bathroom and noticed dried pee on the seat and the sink had beard shaving remnants (hair) in the bowl. Out of curiosity I looked in the shower and noticed a great deal of short hair on the walls, around the edge of the tub, and in the bottom. I informed the front desk and asked for another room. The young lady informed me they had no other rooms. I looked for another hotel but all were booked in the area, even in Baton Rouge. The young lady at the front desk stated that she was very sorry but she was the only one there and could not clean the room, I certainly understood. I requested cleaning supplies which she provided. I cleaned my own room. I can’t describe how nasty the floors were. Positive - the bed sheets were clean and bed was semi comfortable (about what you would expect). I asked the manager to give me a call, which she did on Monday morning. The manager was nice. She informed me that she could not give me a partial refund because we unfortunately and unknowingly booked through a 3rd party. She offered me 5,000 Choice Brand points (the equivalent of $25). I found this very insulting and merely informed them I would never be back. Two other people in my party who booked at this hotel had similar issues with the rooms but not to the extent of mine.

This trash of reception people wouldn’t reactivate my key even though my stay was for 2 nights after the key stopped working. The room was dirty. The reception people were awful and wouldn’t understand that all my stuff was inside my room. I was sick and had to come back from a wedding reception, so the rest of my family was not reachable and I was dying, but they would let me into my room because the reservation wasn’t under my name. Even though I had the room key. Hate this place.

First impression walking through the door The staff was friendly and very helpful. The lobby was clean and nice with lemon water for the guests. The hotel itself is Located in a good spot next to plenty of restaurants. Check in was quick and easy. The rooms were spacious clean cool and had comfy beds ! Happy with my stay for a reasonable price. The breakfast was also delicious and a good variety of things to eat from biscuits eggs sausage bacon and gravy to the easy stuff like bagels waffles cereal and muffins. Pool is also open which is a plus cause most hotels pools are still closed. Also had a 24 hr gym area which was nice. Will definitely be coming back for any future trips! If I could give more than 5 stars I’d give 10 !
