“One of the worst hotel experiences ever. I booked this hotel a month in advance. Me, my wife and 5 kids in two rooms. Non-adjacent rooms were the only options for this particular hotel, yet it was the only 3+ person/room in the whole city. Upon arrival at the hotel I began the check-in process. After filling out what seemed like pages of personal information, I was told I needed to have documents for each child. Not just the information, but original documents that they needed to photocopy. The problem is that the bag the passports were in did not arrive. My wife and I had our drivers license but that was not enough. My wife and kids stayed in the restaurant and I went after the lost bag. The front desk and management would not consider letting us in the room until the bag with documents arrived. I had already paid the rooms in full and a cc on file. I was able to get the bag and get back to the hotel 3 hours later. They had given me a card key and room number but said I could not access the room with my family until the docs were copied. My did not understand that part and after eating in the restaurant went up to the one room. The kids began showering and the management came to the room and asked my family to leave and wait in the lobby. Minutes later I arrived with all the documents. They copied the documents and had me sign a two page contract for each child to be able to stay at the hotel. They said this information was on their “Brazilian” Comfort Inn website, yet they were unable to show me any of these requirements on a US site or anywhere on the US Expedia site. No attempt was made to help us or to accommodate us. No apologies were given. After arriving in the 2nd Room after the almost 4 hour ordeal, their was a water leak in the bathroom. We had to request another room. Needless to say, we would almost rather sleep in our car, or in any other hotel at this point rather than stay here, but we are staying because there no other option. Ridiculous! *edit...The nightmare continues the next morning with NO HOT WATER. Only ice cold water in showers.”

“I stayed there for 5 days. Great roomy room and bathroom. Clean place. Good breakfast. All staff, specially front desk Janaina/Jussara and restaurant server Cristiano were absolutely impeccable.”
