“Just returned from a 4 day stay here. 1 star is for the great location/view from our room and 1 star for a specific staff member (Joanne), very friendly and accommodating. Other than those, not many other positives about this Hotel. We stayed in a Executive Guest room as my Husband is a Diamond Member..I was expecting a lot better for the money paid! The check in staff at reception were bog standard, both women stood talking to each other whilst we waited with our cases. The check in felt very rushed and I had to go back down twice to enquire about Wifi password/breakfast times etc. The room was poor for the price. Very old fashioned and nothing extra for being an “Executive Room”. Mattress had staining and the room felt tired. We had to ask reception to get the cleaner as they missed our room on the second day. The breakfast was nice, we felt it had a good selection and the Chef was friendly. The only other attraction was the stunning staircase as you walk into the Hotel, it makes a statement piece with the lights! I felt the I had the biggest smile on my face when we checked out and were going home. The Premier Inn around the corner offers everything this place does for a fraction of the price! I know where I will be going if I ever return to Liverpool.”
