“arrived Friday night (05/27/2022), checked into the hotel room. Once I got to the room first thing that greets you is the smell of the carpet. It smelled of mildew and instantly made my stomach sour. I called the front desk in an attempt to either switch rooms or get some sort of accommodation. I only had the room for one night & I assume that’s why the front desk receptionist wouldn’t accommodate switching the room or at least discounting it. The only offer was a full refund and a apology about the room smelling badly because house keeping doesn’t turn on the a/c when no one is staying in the room & once the air starts flowing the smell will disappear. Also, the room is sweating. I don’t frequent Houston enough to know the area and my partner was having car trouble so we couldn’t leave. I contacted Marriott customer service, total opposite response. Very helpful & understanding. I also found out my current hotel had extra rooms the attendant just didn’t want to switch the room. Maybe it would’ve been a better room idk. But whatever the case DO NOT STAY HERE! The rooms aren’t maintained well. The a/c doesn’t cool the room && I’m pretty sure the carpet is molded especially if the building is old and the room sweats! chegou na noite de sexta-feira (27/05/2022), fez check-in no quarto do hotel. Uma vez que cheguei ao quarto, a primeira coisa que o cumprimenta é o cheiro do tapete. Cheirava a mofo e instantaneamente fez meu estômago azedar. Liguei para a recepção na tentativa de trocar de quarto ou obter algum tipo de acomodação. Eu só tinha o quarto por uma noite e suponho que é por isso que a recepcionista da recepção não aceitaria trocar de quarto ou pelo menos descontá-lo. A única oferta foi um reembolso total e um pedido de desculpas sobre o quarto cheirar mal porque a manutenção da casa não liga o ar condicionado quando ninguém está no quarto e quando o ar começa a fluir, o cheiro desaparece. Além disso, o quarto está suando. Eu não frequento Houston o suficiente para conhecer a área e meu parceiro estava tendo problemas com o carro, então não podíamos sair. Entrei em contato com o atendimento ao cliente da Marriott, resposta totalmente oposta. Muito útil e compreensivo. Também descobri que meu hotel atual tinha quartos extras que o atendente simplesmente não queria trocar de quarto. Talvez tivesse sido um quarto melhor idk. Mas seja qual for o caso NÃO FIQUE AQUI! Os quartos não são bem cuidados. O ar condicionado não esfria o quarto e tenho certeza de que o carpete é moldado, especialmente se o prédio for antigo e o quarto suar!”
