“The beach is absolutely beautiful!
The food was terrible, as was the service. We were ‘Diamond Club’ members for our 4 night stay which meant absolutely nothing - zero perks included there. They also didn’t acknowledge that we were diamond club until our 3rd day, even though we were checked in at the diamond club lounge. We stayed in the hideaway, no view and basically heard kids screaming nonstop - even though it was the ‘adults only’ part of the resort. I would never ever recommend this place to anyone and we will never come back. I felt like we paid more for these ‘perks’, but there weren’t really any. Take your money elsewhere!”

“The resort was beautiful. The food was huge disappointment. They were doing construction right outside my room which I had to pay extra for since it was supposed to be private. We were supposed to have bottle service in our room and it wasn't given to us. They had a section called hideaway which we were not allowed to use. But when I booked our room it cost more then hideaway. A lot of basic liquor was an up charge (i.e. Titos and Bacardi). They said if we did upgrade are room we would get bottle service but we would lose the swim out. They fail to mention it would only be 1 bottle instead of the 4 they usually do and it was limited to what they had in stock. We rented the cabana for her birthday and she wanted Bombay gin, since it was part of the package. We were told it was no longer available. The bartendes, waitresses, & waiters were all excellent. I stood at the one in Mexico and it was totally different.”

Unfortunately, my family and I had a horrible experience at this hotel. Once we arrived at the hotel and our room was assigned to us the connecting door to the room next to us was open without a lock. We could see and access the other room. I contacted the reception desk and had to wait about an hour for a technician that "fixed the problem" with 3 screws in the door. Later, we went down to the bar and requested a scotch malt whisky and they told us we had to upgrade to diamond club in order to get this type of whisky so we decided to upgrade to diamond club and pay the fee to later find out that they did not have the scotch in the entire hotel so we requested a refund for the diamond club payment and it was denied. Also, there is no difference upgrading to diamond other than a room by the lobby with snacks and drinks. And to get the drinks you want you have to go to the diamond huts (if they have it) because the regular bars will not have it. We traveled with my 2 boys and originally decided this hotel because of the water park. The hotel has a seafood restaurant that its only for adults. To me this did not make sense as this is a family hotel where most families go for the kids attraction of the waterpark but yet you cannot enjoy dinner as a family in the seafood restaurant. The breakfast buffet had only 1 bathroom available because the other 2 were broken for our 4 day stay. So if you needed a bathroom right away you had to either walk back to your room or across the hotel. Also, at the breakfast buffet my husband requested orange juice to the waiter and the response was you have to go get it. We were assigned a butler and requested towels for the room, the towels received were dirty ( pictures attached). Room service takes at least 3 hours my boys fell asleep waiting for the food and food went to waste. The food quality at the restaurants was very poor and some did not even have the requested dish. Also, night life is very limited they have a show every night which if you're having dinner at the restaurant you will miss. Very poor activities for kids as well. After speaking to a manager many times nothing was done to improve our experience. I would not recommend this hotel and will not be going back.

This honestly the worst resort my wife and I have been to. The food was awful!!! Many nights we went to bed hungry. We were relegated to order chicken nuggets and fries the entire trip, just to be full. Out of 7 restaurants, there is only one place for breakfast and lunch. The service was sub par. Multiple nights we waited 3hours for our room service to arrive. The maids did not change the sheets. I had to physically remove the sheets off the bed and put them on the floor for them to put fresh ones on. Out sink was clogged and we had to call multiple times for fresh towels.
They also have employees working on commission, so as you walk around the resort, there are people bothering you about the spa, photos, excursions and etc. You as a guest feel like your at a souvenir market, when you just want to relax.
Again this was the worst resort I’ve ever been to. It was not worth the money and I wish I could have it back. I assumed because it’s Marriott, everything would be fine, but it wasn’t. Please do your research.

Tuvimos una muy mala experiencia que arruinó nuestro concepto del Hotel y nos expuso a una situación jamás imaginada en un entorno supuestamente cuidado. Una tarde fuimos con nuestros hijos y sobrinos a la piscina principal y de pronto advertimos cómo una pareja a plena tarde, 17 hs, realizaba prácticas obscenas y explicitas en el agua, algo que no describiré, luego de varios reclamos al personal, solo pasó un guardia de seguridad que observó y no intervino. Esta experiencia tan irregular como extraña. Hace que no recomiende en absoluto al Royalton de Punta Cana como un destino turístico sugerible. Un asco!

Te dicen cosas que no son, como que puedes cenar en cualquier restaurante sin reverva, excento japones, luego vas y es mentira o vas a las 6 o nada, otra pena q solo esta hambientado a personas de habla inglesas, no se preocupan wn hablarte en español, lamentable decisión al haber elegido este hotel, habitación vieja ñ, cama para tirar, nada recomendable, nunca más volveré

En sentido general,las instalaciones están muy bien pensado para la familia,fuimos un grupo de 16 personas entre adultos y niños. Solo pudimos comer en el Buffet yel acondicionador de aire estaba apagado,se comía mientras sudábamos, 3 días con el mismo menú,la comida no era buena,poco personal de servicio y no tan amable,a diferencia de los bartender que siempre fueron muy amables. He ido a otros hoteles y pude notar la diferencia del trato entre turistas y dominicanos,de hecho, fui testigo de un incidente donde unos dominicanos se molestaron y le reclamaron por la diferencia del trato. A pesar de que pagamos lo mismo.Sobrevalorado por demás. No volvemos. El área de toboganes excelente,muy amable el personal y todo muy bien cuidado .

Todo esta bien hasta el punto de la ubicación porque le doy una estrella pues porque yo estaba tranquilo en la playa a pesar de que habian unas olas de 1 metro pero llegó un punto que las olas eran excesivamente grande llegaban casi a los 2 Metros y por esa razón casi me ahogo pero para andar relax en picinas está perfecto

My family and I have been to this resort 6 times and this time will definitely be our last. Previously the resort was well ran, organized, clean and friendly. Our most recent vacation here was terrible, if i could give it 0 stars i would. Upon arrival our room was scheduled to be ready at 3pm with 2 beds and a jacuzzi for me my husband and two kids. When we got to the resort at 2:30 the front desk took us to “our room” where they wanted my two kids to sleep on a couch bed. They told us we couldn’t get the rooms that we paid for until we had to fight to get what we wanted. We were waiting in the sun for an hour after our room was supposed to be ready due to the lack of miscommunication and terrible management. When we arrived in our room there was hair in the shower, a puddle under the sink and unclean sheets and pillow cases. The restaurants are terrible, cold food, workers who don’t want to work and very unsanitary. The service was terrible if you don’t ask for forks or water you won’t get it, nothing was prepared it was all a huge mess. Save your family the time and money and don’t come here.

Not only was the service great but the people the Dominican people as a whole at the resort during my stay were always glad to help with a smile. Many food options to choose from. You will not go hungry at all. Try all of the restaurants.Each one had its own vibe. Having the sister hotel (Splash) within short walking distance really is a plus.The staff are the best, we learned basic Spanish before we left and really felt the benefit. ...Just lovely people who are genuinely happy to be at work and with each other.We were worried we wouldn't like the food but there's no chance of that. With so much choice there's always something. We particularly enjoyed the steak house restaurant.Sitting at a gorgeous beach bar in the sun, fruit dropping on the roof, overlooking the sea- inches from the sandy beach. Heaven. X

The location is absolutely stunning. The rooms are OK, the beds are comfortable but the rooms need a bit of TLC.
Check-in was slow and underwhelming. The welcome wasn't very welcoming, and besides general directions to the buildings we were staying in, we had to find our own way, and it was late evening.
The service is generally pretty good, and the staff are helpful. We were a party of 12 and they tried to seat us together at every meal. Most of the restaurants do not have air conditioning which can make meal times sweaty affairs!
The location is amazing as are the grounds of the hotel. The hotel.is situated right next to the beach and we had sun beds most days 10 feet from the beach and 15 feet from the pool.
Beautiful place and a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Servicio del personal no es bueno hay algunos empleados que son Atento pero solo un 10% el otro es poco atente le hablas y se te quedan callado y te atiende cuando le parece. En comparación con otroshoteles que siempre están pendiente atento y con una sonrisa si entrenan más a su personal seria un excelente hotel en lo demás es 1A

Es la primera ves que venimos mi familia y yo a este maravilloso lugar, y es 100% seguro que vamos a volver , el lugar es genial , la atención del personal es lo máximo y las instalaciones son lo mejor , estas personas tratan por todos los medios de hacer sentir a uno como en casa , de seguro vamos a regresar a RD , se los recomiendo a todos , Dominica lo máximo, saludos dios me los bendiga , gente humilde caballerosa y educada, 100% recomendable para una experiencia inolvidable 👍👍🇨🇺🇩🇴 (he leído un montón de review estupidos y quejas sin sentido, el personal y las instalaciones son de lo mejor no hay quejas lo máximo)

We were here for about a week! The service was excellent and there is as much food as you could possibly want! We upgraded to diamond club and had the best butler! His name was Soni and he helped us out so much and even decorated for a birthday we had while we were here! The weather is perfect and the beach is beautiful! The vibe club come around to play games with you and make sure you’re having fun! My favorite from the vibe club was Anderson! The water park is very cool and has some super fun slides! The room was cleaned everyday and the beds are super comfy! This place is perfect and I could stay forever!!!!

This resort was beautiful..service in the main dining was not the best. Staff was a bit unfriendly when serving.The food in the speciality restaurant was excellent, Service in these restaurants was really good...staff was friendly and very professional. Room service was great. Everyday there was a towel animal on the bed. Resort was quiet and enjoyable 😉 Margariette and Juan in the main dining hall provided excellent service and Esther and Carlos in concierge service was great. Carlos checked in daily to book our dinners in the restaurant. He was super nice, friendly and professional.

Beautiful resort! There was entertainment by the pool everyday. Great beach. Everything is clean. The restaurants were very good. The staff were all so welcoming & nice. They all said hi & talked to you throughout the day. David fitness made sure I stayed in shape during my vacation. He was very nice! There is always something going on at night. I definitely recommend this resort. I will be back.

My daughter and I had a wonderful three days. It was my 80th Birthday gift.The weather was perfect. The service was exceptional.We swam in the Caribbean, so beautiful and warm. We swam in the pool, it was awesome. The food was delicious. Ourroom was perfect, clean and very comfortable.The decoratedfor my Birthdayand gave me a Birthday Cake. The Resort was so clean, spotless. I wishwe couldhave stayed for a month. I would love to go back. I recommendthe Royalton. Punta Cana to everyone for an outstanding vacation.

Nuestra experiencia en el Royalton Daimond y Royalton Splash fue excepcional.👌Inicialmente el personal es de lo mejor, súper profesionales y educados.👌Las instalaciones de lo mejor, sus restaurantes de lo mejor, room services de lo mejor; también 5 estrellas en higiene en general. Great all-inclusive for families. Lots of activities all day long. Nightly activities for kids & adults (carnival night, karaoke night, circus night), located by dinner locations and bars so that you can sit and watch and drink. They also have several employees walking around all day to offer free activities at the hotel like dance sessions, horseshoes, pool games, etc. Louis from the Vibe Team made it a point to get us involved and we’re glad he did! They also have hotel employees on site to help you book activities off the resort which is very helpful.Beach was beautiful but crowded, hard to find seating. Pools were good! A little cold and also hard to find seating.We got two swim our rooms and an ocean view for our family. Could have done with just one swim out room (we have older kids and one little). One swim out room gives plenty of access to the swim out pool which is separate from the other hotel pools. Rooms were extremely clean and modern! Room service comes daily and does an excellent job.Would definitely recommend Diamond Club if it’s in the budget. We got a personal butler with the package who made our dinner and activity reservations and handled any issues with our room. Also gets you access to a different beach, and different bar with bar food, which the normal bars don’t have.The Japanese place is by far the best to eat but it’s always booked about 3 days out so you have to make reservations as soon as you get there- our butler did this for us. It was habachi style, so much fun! The other restaurants were okay, nothing great. Wish they would have served any kind of local Dominican food. Drinks were nice being all inclusive but we’re pretty sure they water down their alcohol, for the amount they were serving it’s not very powerful at all.Overall a fantastic all inclusive with plenty of activities on and off the resort.Wish the food and drinks were better but that was all that was lacking. Would recommend.

This is NOT an adult only resort. We thought half the resort was for adults only, no you get a small pool, 1 restaurant, and a small beach/ bar area. However, the staff in the adult only spots were great especially Felix and Jean Paul.The food overall was not good, the best meal we had was at the steakhouse. Cleanliness at the buffets lacked, there were no sanitary precautions. We saw hair in the stations, little to no tongs, kids grabbing food with their hands, kids running around in front of the food with no masks on. I would recommend to stay away from the buffets at all cost.Rooms were okay, again hair in the bathrooms, sticky surfaces, and our mini fridge was not cold nor stocked.We had really been looking forward to this vacation and overall felt let down and not welcome. Majority of the staff looked confused or disgusted when asking any questions, and the resort was chaotic and unorganized. Everyone from the splash side comes to the hideaway side so if you wanted a pool or beach chair you need to get chairs at 7 am. Additionally, no one told us you needed to reserve beach chairs until our last day when it was too late. Again everything was unorganized. Every other resort we have been too provides details and instructions on upcoming activities, dinner and reservation recommendations and here you got nothing but your room bracelet and your room number.I would not recommend this resort and have never been so ready to leave a vacation.

Un hotel muy del estilo en la zona, amplio, con zonas verdes amplias y cuidadas, habitaciones cómodas, varias piscinas y buenos restaurantes, acceso a la playa, actividades recreativas, música en vivo, bares abiertos, muy adecuado para vacaciones familiares. Cuando lo visité noté poca atención al gimnasio con algunas máquinas dañadas durante todo la semana. Los restaurantes son pequeños para la cantidad de turistas en temporada por lo cual la espera es larga para la cena. El personal muy amable.

Dirty, and not respectful to guests. Upon arrival we didn’t receive enough towels, and a dirty bathroom. Didn’t inform us of a required reservation for New Years dinner. We showed up dressed and were told to wait 1.5 hrs. If you are looking for a good service you will need to pay thousands of dollars extra to “upgrade your plan”. So many features are exclusive to the upgraded plan.. For the price and what was promised we are completely disappointed. Every little thing you need to pay extra for. “6 Stars” -Apple Vacation only if you’re looking to spend around 10K on a week. The workers try their best, but you can only do so much as the hotel owners set up these policies. Overall, I believe that with what we were charged the management can do much better.

The waterpark was amazing, the pools were beautiful, the beach was nice but i’ve seen better, the workers were super kind, the hotel rooms were always clean and they got cleaned everyday. since the place is so big, most people used trolleys to travel from place to place but they were always full and took about 40 minutes to pass by so my family and I just walked. the buffet foods weren’t the best and that was the only thing u could have for breakfast. the cafes, restaurants, sport bars were amazing though, if you got there early the food would be served fast. The shows were very entertaining. I gave it a 4/5 because it didnt have that many entertainment facilities.

The diamond club is a scam and a WASTE OF MONEY. The hotel is old, broken, and requires renovation. The rooms are dirty, specificallythe walls and roof. The food was disgusting. The restaurants and buffet are awful. The juices were not fresh and very watery. The owner is VERY CHEAP. They have a great theatre, but never use it. Instead, they make people pay money to watch the shows from the seats closest to the stage outside. There is also a lack of staff. We have been to Dominican Republic eight times and this is the worst hotel we’ve ever been too. I do not recommend.

So, this was our first trip post Covid and we were expecting the resort to be a bit rough around the edges given the travel climate. It was as I expected but they all did their very best to ensure their guests were happy. Most workers were not wearing a mask properly. Nor were many guests inside. Drinks and food were pretty good. Our trip was utterly ruined when night would hit as the fire alarm went off all night. Rooms are paper thin so we could hear every little thing in the room beside us. They could not help move us because TONS of locals were there. My husband was in a line to get a burger and two locals bud the line and the workers let them. Overall, I'd go again.

We booked the hotel a few months ago looking for a get away, we came to this resort in 2014 and were excited to return. Our check in process was very easy and our room was ready as we got there around 4pm. However, when we walked into the room it was clear they had not done a good job cleaning it, the sign was there “your room has been sanitized” but the washroom was dirty (marks on the mirror and no soap). There was still hair on the floor. Empty water bottles in the fridge (clearly no one even checked there). Thank god we had brought our own Lysol wipes and spent first 10 min wiping everything down. We settled in and decided to go grab food, the buffet is good and organized. When we got back, my son decided to play on the laptop and there was a plug near the glass table, he tried to pull the table towards himself but it’s not stuck to the base, it fell on him and thank god it didn’t land on the floor. We got so scared as it’s a heavy glass table. The beach is clean, the staff is very friendly but the restaurants do not take reservations so we been waiting for a table for 30-45min when you go around 7pm, which is difficult with kids. The real nightmare began at night, the fire alarm just won’t stop, it went off every few hours, our poor kids exhausted from the flight couldn’t sleep, we complained about it in the morning but they said there was a technical issue. They were investigating, again the next night it just kept going off, I had to send my husband to the front desk at 2am because it had gone off 3 times by then, they came and took off the smoke detector which didn’t help. It’s so loud and scary that my kids refuse to stay in the room. We asked for a change of room but told resort is over booked. We have been following up non-stop but no solution. I am so upset with the staff and the situation. I would not recommend this resort to anyone!!!! It’s been the worst vacation with lack of sleep…

Food was great! Entertainment was a little boring, accommodations were great! The people were the best when it came to service. One little tidbit and the reason they get 4 stars... management should not yell at their employees in front of customers over something they (management) get paid to do... I liked that we had access to both hotels and to lots of things within the premises, including food, drinks among other amenities. You can go to Royalton Punta Cana Splash and enjoy their restaurants and water park!

La comida es muy mala , astarecalentada es la comida hace una el pasado fon de semana lo pase aya mi esposo otras personas y yo estábamos mal del estomago por esa comida tan mala y aparte de todo es lo mismo que yo cocino a diario en mi casa ese restaurante más bien parece una fritura con tantos embutidos fritos y el pescado es recalentado , pero el personal da buen servicioel hotel es bonito y todo lo de más es muy bueno 👌

Road staff, materialistic staff, they don't greet you if you don't tip them. Beware of the weekends because it gets filled with locals and you will see long lines for restaurants and splash. I don't really recommend this place for families with kids neither for couples. Definitely a destination I won't return to. These are the photos for line up to the restaurant on weekend. The other photo shows the locals climbing on each other at the pool bar. I really regret 😪 my money spent on this resort.

I would NOT recommend this resort; this was by far the worst resort we have ever stayed at. When we arrived they first sent us to a MOLDY room.When we insisted that we will not stay in a room with obvious mold with our baby, after waiting for over an hour, they sent us to another room, which was located on the third floor. (Since we knew the hotel did not have elevators, we requested a first floor room so that we did not have to carry the stroller up and down. When we got to this new room, we had to wait another hour for them to send a crib (which wasrequested in advance.)When we finally were able to put our baby down, we noticed that the toilet did not flush, the bed was broken, and neither the TV and the telephone did not work.(You can only order room service via the TV, and all the restaurants were already closed.) We reported these issues the same night, but were told there is nothing they can do. It was either stay in a moldy room or on a broken bed with no flushing toilet. The next day, the day manager, Abel, was the first one who ever apologized. He assured us that we will not have to pay for the first night and moved us to a new room. I wish I could tell you this resolved all the issues, but the problems in this third room continued.We had a leaking ceiling (which the staff did not consider as an issue), our fridge did not work (they did not fix it, good luck storing milk or formula for a baby).There were days we did not have toilet paper in the room, and days our mini fridge was not filled.(Mind you we paid extra for the Diamond club.) The TV also routinely froze, and the fire alarm would routinely go off in the middle of the night waking everyone.(Again, according to the staff this was not a problem.) The hotel had a designated smoke area right next to the playground, but also allowed people to smoke in the family pool.The towel guy happened to be the person selling excursions, depending on the day, he either rolled his eyes if we asked for a towel, and once even yelled at me for asking for a towel but not booking an excursion. We also had a bait and switch situation at the Spa, and the Spa manager's reaction was "well things happen.." The staff/management generally did not seem to care about anything. When we went to check out, we noticed they did not remove the charge for the first night, and when we raised this issue, they first said we failed to fill out a form when we reported the issues, then they presented us with a Non Disclosure Agreement, which if we signed, would have prevented us from posting reviews.I also want to add that we were not the only ones with issues. Everyone we spoke to had significant complaints.There was another couple who was assigned a moldy room and had to move, there was a couple who arrived at 11 pm with two small children and they did not have a room for them, and yet, another one who had people enter their room at 2 am, because they double booked the same room.We were very disappointed, as we routinely stay at Marriotts,and picked this resort relying on the standards of the brand.It is also unfortunate, because the beach and the grounds are beautiful, but it seems there is a complete lack of care on the management's part and instead of fixing issues they are covering them up. I will note that the service in Hunter's restaurant was always excellent (albeit you needed reservations and had to wait even if you had one).Also Esperanza at the Spa is great.I forgot their names, but the two waitresses at the Diamond Club check in were wonderful; unfortunately, you cannot say the same for the desk workers.

El servicio de camareros es muy malo, se olvidan del cliente y hay que pedir un mismo servicio en varias ocasiones para poder alguien satisfacer tus necesidades, en cuanto a las habitaciones tienen mucho problemas, de tal manera, que en mi habitación el techo se estaba desplomando y casi nos cae encima el cemento, luego me cambiaron de habitación y la cerradura de la puerta principal de esta tampoco servia y no fue sino hasta las 1:30 am donde por fin me ubicaron en una habitación donde pude descansar. La comida no es nada de variada, todos los días lo mismo. No recomiendo este hotel si en verdad buscas recrearte y al mismo tiempo tener un ambiente de armonía. Ah, olvida decir! Los empleados te tratan como si estuviera pidiendo y no Como quien pago por el servicio.

Si pudiese dar 0 estrellas lo daria. Aqui estoy sentada en el lobby esperando a que resuelvan el problema del aire acondicionado que supuestamente se rompio a las 3 am y son las 9:40pm y todavia no hay. Somos un grupo de 20 personas, cuando llegamos no habían habitaciones disponible, pues empezaron a aparecer. En las habitaciones hemos encontrado hormigas, cucarachas, moo en el baño, toallas con peste a sudor. Llevamos desde el 19 de noviembre y cada dia que pasa se pone peor y mas problemas salen a relucir. Si alguna ves estuvo bueno este hotel no lo se pero ahora mismo no se lo recomiendo a nadie. Es venir a pasar trabajo.

Empezaré reconociendo lo bueno del Hotel La estructura me encantó es muy bonito. La llave del las habitaciones, dieron un palo con eso. La piscina y los bares también buen servicio. El parque acuático lo mejor del hotelLo que no me gustó. Las habitaciones muy pequeña y del grupo que fuimos, por lo menos 6 tenían algún problema, que si el aire, que si el baño, que si el techo en fin algo tenían.La comida total decepción, desayuno, comida y cena siempre el mismo bufé, no hay variedad.Los muchachos del servicio por más que quieran no pueden dar más del 100 hace falta personal.

We did not stay at this hotel (we stayed at the connected Hideaway) but we were on the grounds of there sort daily and ate meals on this property daily as well. Food and a beverage was average and will continue to get better with time. Go to Hunter, Zen, and the buffet. Make reservations at Hunter and Zen. We did not eat at the sports bar or go to the casino. But overall a beautiful property that will continue to benefit in time from having Marriott service standards implemented.

The people who work here at this resort work very hard and they are so pleasant! Juan, and Gracia at the adults only bar are absolutely AMAZING!!!!!JP & Franklin were out pool side entertainers & they do their jobs well!! Our Butler Fleury looked after us for the whole week! Rooms were comfy, beach was glorious and the pools sparked everyday! This resort was excellent value, stay at 1, play at 3!

It is a beautiful resort. But the buffet food isn't very good and not much of a selection. The swim up bar had no bartender room service was almost good at best. By the time the food got there it was almost not warm enough to eat. The restaurants that are there is the best food you will get while you are there but if they were where I live I would not go back to any of them.

LOVE LOVE LOVE so relaxing not having to worry about the cost of each little meal snack and drink.October is not busy so there is plenty of room on the beach and in the pools. Room service is included, what a steel.We are here for a week I will.add pictures at the end.A 20 min ride.from the airport. We pre-purchased a private shuttle and it was a.lovely Toyota van from NEXUS.COVID test for return to the US is covered in the cost of your stay and is on site: nothing to stress.Vendors on the beach selling any and all vacation trinket you could want.The resort has traditional shops as well.We WILL be back to another Royalton Resort in a new location.

À la carte restaurants were absolute rubbish, the Italian was the best and it was just OK. The drinks seemed watered down. The entertainment during the day and evening were so bad. The DJ had only 20 songs on run every night. Overall, very disappointing and would not return. Nothing to the standard of any other Royalton. 😪

Spent five days there with my wife. Very attentive staff. We stayed at the Hideaway for adults only at a diamond status. Had a very relaxing week. Good selection of restaurants. We did not make it to the water park as we enjoyed our days at the pool and the beach. It was worth the cost, which was much cheaper than other full service Caribbean resorts. Only complaint was the salespeople badgering us on the beach. We simply ignored them but it was a nuisance. The beach chairs and thatch huts were quite nice. Sitting out there on the beach was a good place for good conversations.

Royalton Punta Cana Diamond club is a wonderful resort that we spent our best 7 days with my young children and family.. excellent service, very helpful stuff, always cleaning happening, rooms, towels, sheets has been changing every single day. Kids activities, adults activities, and the theatre shows were great. My children spend such a wonderful time. Lenny was responsible to book us for dinners at night in different restaurants such an amazing person.I can’t wait to go next year again and definitely will be the same resort .

The service in the beginning of July 2021 to my family was amazing and a big reason I enjoyed our vacation. My husband is a travel agent and we have brought two groups to Royalton in two months. They botched my wedding in May 2021 but made up for it in other ways. Here in July we had a power issue at 2AM that wasn’t resolved until 6AM. They refused to move our room while this was going on. You would think the GM Laura would make up for that but nope - she did NOTHING. Ridiculous.
Watered down alcohol. Diamond club is better at Royalton In Mexico at least you are actually getting extras - here it’s really nothing extra you’re getting to be Diamond club. They don’t even have their own diamond club pool so it’s not worth paying extra for this “elite” status. Royalton is WONDERFUL in Mexico - do yourself a favor and skip this one in the DR. The overall brand ought to really look into this resort because it doesn’t measure.

Stayed at the Hideaway in July 2021, and my stay was pretty good. The vibe team....Jean Paul and Miguel, keep the energy up. The food was good at all the restaurants, but the liquor needs to be addressed. We ended up buying Tito's and other American liquor. Covid protocols were pretty good and enforced around the bars and restaurants.

We had an amazing butler, Daniel. He was attentive and helpful to us. We upgraded to Diamond Club and loved Jose Luis at the DC Beach Bar. He always has a smile on his face and makes excellent blended mojitos! He was kind and went out of his way from the moment we met him. Thank you for taking good care of us! Muy buen lugar lo recomiendo tiene tres restaurantes y un buffet y tiene una cafetería en el día para tomar todo el café k quieras con variados dulces finos. Tiene tiendas de trusas super bellas de cremas de ropa chancletas hasta medicina para niños y venden hasta Viagra jajaja. Tiene un parque de agua dos grandes piscinas y un lugar para cuidarte los niños de 10 de la mañana hasta las 5 . Tiene transporte para llevarte al parque de agua que otros hoteles tienes que ir caminando. Tiene dos grandes entradas el hotel . Y es súper bello y te atienden como un rey para mí exelente.

Good resort, really nice grounds and plenty of spaces to hang out, read, visit etc. It's really nice to be able to walk 3 minutes to the sister property where you have access to a water park, and more restaurants. There was nightly music entertainment on the Plaza area outside, and also a nightly show inside in the theater.The food was good at the buffet, and the other restaurants were a bit better. The only problem was trying to get a reservation for one of the restaurants. You had to be in line before 8am the day you want, and there was no way to schedule a day or two ahead of you had excursions you were going on that day.The maintenance of the rooms could be better, as we had to ask several times to get light bulbs changed and the toilet paper holder fixed when we arrived. Also the resort tells you at check in you will get 4-6 water bottles and 4-6 sodas restocked your mini fridge everyday. This was but the case as we had to find someone everyday to get those things. It's necessary too, because you shouldn't drink the water here.

Almost all the staff were very friendly. Most don't speak a lot of English. The food was good.Especially at El Dorado.The steaks at the Hunter Steak House were SO tough!!! The burgers, nachos, wings, Cuban sandwiches and fries were all delicious from the beach bar. The main buffet (open for all 3 meals) was HUGE! Something for every taste for sure! Very clean! The beach was kept up very nicely! The pool in the Diamond Club area was sparkling clean and very well kept. (We didn't swim in any of the other pools)

I wish this place lived up to everything I was expecting. This was our honeymoon gift.From the start checking in was not good! Our original hotel reservation was canceled and we had to choose between Royalton and another hotel. We picked the Royalton adult only. We tired to explain that our original hotel had our rooms as 2 rooms with 1 person in one room and 2 people in another room. That was to much to understand because they book rooms one room per person(never have I heard of this). It was already late and past curfew so we paid the extra for the additional person that was already included in the original invoice. We get to our room settle in for there to be FREAKING roaches! I'm super unhappy at this point. I go to customer service and they are like oh yeah we have that problem sometimes, we have bug spray in the store for purchase? What can we do to make your stay better? They had no solution and I had to come up with my own. Moving rooms was pointless because we stayed one night and they couldn't move me and my friends room. It was important that we stayed next door to each other. Communication is a thing of the past at this resort. The dining room staff and bartender made it atleast a 2 star hotel for me. We had a better experience down the road at Hard Rock!

The resort was beautiful. The food was huge disappointment. They were doing construction right outside my room which I had to pay extra for since it was supposed to be private. We were supposed to have bottle service in our room and it wasn't given to us. They had a section called hideaway which we were not allowed to use. But when I booked our room it cost more then hideaway. A lot of basic liquor was an up charge (i.e. Titos and Bacardi). They said if we did upgrade are room we would get bottle service but we would lose the swim out. They fail to mention it would only be 1 bottle instead of the 4 they usually do and it was limited to what they had in stock. We rented the cabana for her birthday and she wanted Bombay gin, since it was part of the package. We were told it was no longer available. The bartendes, waitresses, & waiters were all excellent. I stood at the one in Mexico and it was totally different.

I don’t have enough room so I’m going to keep it simple. Don’t waste your money coming to this resort. First of all the scenery is beautiful but everything isjust so boring. The pool and the beaches are great but both of them close early. The live entertainment is fun but where’s the night life ? Also, the food was simply horrible. There are 10 restaurants here and somehow all of them are always full even if you try to reserve at the crack of dawn, it just doesn’t make sense. It just leaves you stuck having to eat at the nasty buffet. Lastly, the service is just extremely slow. My mother asked for water to be brought up to her room and we had to wait an hour to receive them. Never coming back.

Muylindo agradable estuve desde el 25 al 30 de diciembre el spa bueno aseado cómodo, las personas de Nexus tour muy serviciales y brindaban muy buena atención e información sobre los tours, a mejorar las habitaciones ya que mi parecer necesitan remodelar. de lo mejor la playa y el lobby espectacular vista, muy agradable el tomar martini allí, la comida buena decente 5 restaurante trate 3 el japonés,buffet,italiano y el de mar fue el mejor, no me gustó lo de tener que hacer filatodos los dias para poder reservar en estos ( excepto el buffet), también te ponen una Manilla como llave para tu habitación eso se cae y te cobran 20USD por acada una. La gente muy cordial y atentame gustó le doy 4 estrellas hay cosas que mejorar pero en general pasé bien me sentí cómodo y conocí gracias.

Went during pandemic but they didn't miss a beat. Our butler Julio was so attentive and nice.House keeping was on top of it everyday. Food was so so but that could just be my personal taste. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. They laughed with us and made us feel at home. We had the swim up rooms in the Hideaway. Worth every penny. The adult only had our own beach which was nice. No kids allowed in that area.

I visited before the pandemic and I had a blast. The food, room and services were terrific. Beautiful grounds, the weather was amazing and the beach is well kept. I would advise taking a cab from the airport renting a car is expensive, we paid almost $500 for 4 days and barely used it. Unlimited food and drinks everywhere u turn, late night room service or you can visit the club after 12 if u get the munchies late at night. There’s a water park for those who have small children, foam pool party in the afternoon and karaoke at night.

I stayed on the resort on December 2020 for 6 nights. I had an amazing experience. The food on the buffet was excellent. Reservations for the restaurant were also a breeze. The staff on the pool bar was excellent as well. Even the guy at the towel station was a pleasure to interact with. The beach was amazing. There is entertainment every night which was fun. Overall I recommend this hotel and I would definitely come back.

Today is our second day in Toyalton Punta Cana resort ,but this is not the first time when we visit this resort and the impression was always good but this time is just total SHOCK even with understanding of problem that can cause “corona time” .Me as a regular traveller with kids would like to suggest to other customers to think before to book this destination otherwise your dreaming vacation can turn into stressful and unpleasant stay!!! !!!!!!!!!’I was here several times but this time is absolutely different, very BAD and our 14 days vacation is absolutely ruined due to VERY - VERY bad service and ignorance to provide service to English speaking guests. When previous guests admitted this issue in comments I thought it’s joke but it’s NOT. Horrible feeling when you asking for spoon or bread and waitress just ignore you or demonstrate absolutely inappropriate attitude just because you not communicate in Spanish 😡😡😡we meet with this situation yesterday in buffet and today in Hunter Steakhouse. I will add lately the names of staff that were so disrespectful to me and my family that cause almost to cry about us in Hunter House today. We didn’t come to fight, we came to enjoy !!! We respect you guys ,why you so bad with us. Absolutely nasty feeling, since you don’t speak Spanish you not existing😓😓😓😓😓We know Dominican Republic as friendly country that was always respectful to tourists from USA, Canada , England and other English speaking countries. No longer!!! Situation changed by some reason . Food , especially at buffet is not eatable , cold and extremely low variety. Total waste of money, it’s reminds me about the same feeling during vacation in Cuba😡MANAGEMENT At Royalton I hope you will not destroy such amazing resort to the end. Please talk with your staff:the chef must try food before place in counter top, even with limited number of visitors we have rights to eat, waitress must be respectful when asked for service. Also, just to underline -staff is not the same and looks very grumpy , unhappy and with facial expressions demonstrate that do favour for you even if you ask for cup of water. NEVER Again, WOW how disappointing 🥺🥺🥺

Good for the family and married couples, is not a party hotel. On the 5 stars missing some details like refills the cooler in the rooms. A 5 stars the customer won't need to be asking for everything it wasn't my case.My old grandmother was assigned to a 3rd floor room with no elevator. 😑Most of the staff is super friendly but in their Italian restaurant staff we're not diligent didn't even offer a drink.😒 not satisfy.Excellent entertainment team.🥳 Excellent Bartenders and waitresses at all bars.💯 Cleanness was excellent especially during apandemic, making you feel safe.💯The splash was very good, and activities for the kids.💯I highly recommend the hotel overall, maybe they lowered their standars during pandemic on explaining the guests that not all restaurants are available or open.

For a country that's highly dependent on tourism and has been shut down for the last 6 months, the resort did a good job at making the stay pleasant and trying to get back to normal.Many of the luxuries an American traveler may be used to fell short of expectations... no actual cream for coffee, no bathrobes in most of the rooms, most of the movies advertised don't play, spa only had 2 colors of nail polish and sauna/steam room were unavailable, diamond club perks were not offered unless specifically requested... but staff was very pleasant and helpful, hotel was attentive to cleanliness and covid policies, the food was good, drinks plentiful, beach and pool areas were beautiful and inviting.The water park was open, and although we didn't go we heard it was a lot of fun.There were a variety of options for the traveler who is looking for the pool party/loud music atmosphere and also the more secluded areas for those who just want to lay on the beach in peace, read a book or have a more romantic getaway (we had a quiet swim-out room in the adults only section of the hideaway building 2 that I would highly recommend).The beach vendors were limited (I suspect they pay for permission to be there) and after offering once or twice usually leave you alone, so not too obnoxious as long as you don't make eye contact.Don't go on a shopping excursion unless you want a big guilt trip and the rum is cheaper in duty free... unless you feel brave, speak Spanish and can go somewhere they don't expect to see tourists.Fun trip, just enjoy what it is, not what you expect it to be!

The beach is absolutely beautiful!
The food was terrible, as was the service. We were ‘Diamond Club’ members for our 4 night stay which meant absolutely nothing - zero perks included there. They also didn’t acknowledge that we were diamond club until our 3rd day, even though we were checked in at the diamond club lounge. We stayed in the hideaway, no view and basically heard kids screaming nonstop - even though it was the ‘adults only’ part of the resort. I would never ever recommend this place to anyone and we will never come back. I felt like we paid more for these ‘perks’, but there weren’t really any. Take your money elsewhere!
