This impressive adults-only resort is located on Playa del Carmen’s beachfront just metres from the world’s second largest coral reef. It offers 4 outdoor pools and luxurious air-conditioned rooms with a private terrace. The bright rooms at the Paradisus La Perla Playa del Carmen feature modern décor with soft tones and Caribbean colours. Each one has an iPod docking station and flat-screen satellite TV with DVD player as well as a rain-effect shower in the bathroom. The Paradisus La Perla Resort offers no less than 14 different restaurants ranging from contemporary Asian fusion to Mexican haute cuisine. There are also 16 bars. The resort’s spa features wet and dry saunas and you can participate in classes including Pilates and spinning. Activities such as tango dancing sushi-making and cocktail preparation are also available. 5th Avenue Playa del Carmen’s main nightlife spot is just outside the hotel. You can drive to Cancún Airport in 45 minutes.

“This was my first trip to Mexico for my cousin's wedding/vacation this past Memorial Day. It was INCREDIBLE. The food was spectacular, the employees were extremely polite, personable and were approachable. It really made the entirety of the experience that much better. The rooms and views are picturesque. Nightlife was fun and the pool was always the spot to be during the day, met some new people both from US and abroad. I am definitely going to return to this resort again. My only advice to others, dinner is by reservation only, give yourself 24 hours lead time to book or else you'll be stuck with 8/9PM or later times.”

“Place is beautiful the grounds are well kept we loved the wild life on the resort food was delicious people are hard working and friendly great bar tenders. We had a great stay. The only issue we had is that there are no designated spots for smokers like most resorts have. People smoked pretty much whereever they wanted this made walking around or even enjoying entertainment very difficult. We even had to leave pool areas because the smoke was horrible. I'm surprised they allow this especially since this is a family resort as well.”
