“Mala experienciaTotalmente decepcionados por haber elegido este hotel , creímos que por ser 5 estrellas sería buen hotel pero nos equivocamos , para empezar muy mal servicio en recepción , tuvimos muchos poroblemas con las habitaciones , desde que llegamos nos pasaron a una habitación que no funcionaba el aire acondicionado, pedimos que nos cambiaran de habitación y nos pasaron a una suite con 2 camas y éramos 5 personas, en fin nos dejaron en 2 dobles y nos traía a puras vueltas , en la caja fuerte se llevaron 170 dólares y gerencia no hizo nada por resolver el problema siendo que se le demostró evidencias , lo que si quiero agradecer es la atención de todos los meseros y gente que si de verdad te atienden muy bien ( Candido mesero ) , en los bares la gente que atiende muy bien , la comida muy rica eso si pero lo otro deja muy mala experiencia , no volveríamos !”

Excelente hotel y a muy buen precio. Solo el detalle de la playa, en la orilla está muy sucio y no te puedes meter ni siquiera a mojar los pies. Tiene un muelle pequeño y al final de este ahí si te puedes meter al mar. Restaurantes buenos 👍

Fui con un grupo de amigos a este hotel y no repetiríamos nunca.Para empezar, a mi compañera de habitación y a mi NOS ROBARON 85 EUROS en total. Nuestros monederos estaban bien escondidos en las maletas así que tuvieron que rebuscar mucho para encontrarlos. Nos quejamos en la recepción y nos dijeron que llevarían a cabo el protocolo correspondiente y que a las 72 horas nos darían una respuesta. A las 72 horas preguntamos y nos dijeron que todavía seguían con el procedimiento correspondiente pero que no nos iban a devolver nada. Pedimos una hoja de reclamaciones, nos dijeron que no tenían y nos dieron una hoja de sugerencias y opiniones. Hoja que no servía para nada.Solo nos pusieron gel el primer día de estancia. Éramos dos personas por habitación y solo nos cambiaban una toalla. Nos quejamos repetidas veces por ello pero todo siguió igual.Algunos de los trabajadores del hotel no atendían bien y eran desagradables.Un hotel así puede arruinarte las vacaciones.

La verdad el hotel se ve más bonito en fotos. No es malo pero es diferente a lo que te venden. La comida en el buffet es buena, solo hay un Snack bar en todo el hotel, las distancias para ir al lobby son muy largas caminando.

Excellent customer service! This resort is beautiful and thoughtfully planned. The food was great and did I mention the customer service? So I gave it four stars because the rooms are dated. Like really old. And the property is huge. Although they have staff transporting you around the property, you will have to wait up to 30 or 40 minutes for a ride. Also the times of the restaurants are subject to change without notice. We missed out a few times going to the snack bar. And the sockets in the rooms worked intermittently and we never had hot water. I think that if they perform the proper upgrades, this resort could be top notch.

All employees were super polite. Food & drinks were great. The rooms were comfortable. A few negatives experienced by guests in our party: one room had a bad handheld sprayer in the shower and water never got hot, no face wash clothes were provided. The resort is large and spread out. There were golf carts for transport but not enough of them. Everyday I was left standing by empty golf carts that were meant only for member guests. Also, nothing to do and no where to go if you need a day out of the sun.

The people make you feel like welcome guests in your home. (Suggestion to management when places are out of circle one special dinners maybe have an alternative as it is stressful on staff when customers express dissatisfaction. Just gives them something to help keep excellent treatment). Obviously no experience is perfect but this is a great value in our opinion

Excelente hotel. Funcionários que atendem muito bem, muito atenciosos. Alimentação ótima, com vários restaurantes que servem almoço espalhados pelo hotel, e durante a noite cada um dos restaurantes servem comidas típicas de outros países, como comida italiana, francesa, oriental, mexicana entre outros. Basta reservar com um dia de antecedência. Caso não agende, há a opção de jantar em um restaurante self service do hotel. A praia não é tão boa, mas as piscinas compensam. Hotel sempre cheio, acredito que hospedam mais de 1000 pessoas por dia.

Enjoyed my week at BlueBay! Francisco at the buffet was the friendliest and most kind waiter. Made me smile every morning and we had the greatest conversations. Andres at the VIP bar was superb as well and introduced me to a spicy Paloma which was delicious and refreshing. Lastly Gilberto, the entertainment KING was incredibly amazing. He made every moment at the pool, Circle One party and karaoke night an absolute blast. I had such a great time and I’m looking forward to returning.
The resort is very clean. They follow all the COVID guidelines you’d expect. I had a room on the beach with unbelievable view. Everyone was very helpful and attentive.

Our stay 1/13-18/22, we were in room 8216, the 8 (8 guest room buildings) was the building we were in and is the farthest from the lobby, restaurants, and the beach.They do have golf carts that will drive you but they were few and far between. We asked for a upgrade and said we would pay for the upgrade, but was told no.We later found out the hotel was only at 25% occupancy (approx 900+ rooms).The property is approx 15 years old and could use some upgrades.The shower water was just luke warm, towels were old and frayed, no small wash towels.Damp musty smell in the room and the hallway.The food is mediocre all inclusive resort food, most times food was warm to cold.Be cautious as food could have been sitting all day.They advertise 6 restaurants, while we were there only 3 restaurants were offered and it looks like they rotate days so there is only 2 choices on any given night with the exception of the buffet.The Black and White Bar is a decent area for drinks, the snack food is self serve and it’s grosspizza and nachos and hot dogs on soggy bread. They did attempt to try and get us to sit for their CircleOne program, but we chose not to as another couple told us they attended and it was greater than 90 minutes and they got a small bottle of tequila and a beach bag.I’m sure the property has seen better days, all the fountains entering the property at the main gates and the hotel were not working and looked as if the had not been on for a long time.The photos, and the videos they use to advertise for the property was probably from when the hotel first opened because it did not look anything like those photos.All in all we made the best of our stay and most of the staff were very nice and helpful.

Though we had a great time and our overall experience was enjoyable at this resort, it did feel a bit like it had its "glory days" in the past. To be fair, if this is your first time to vacation at an all-inclusive beach resort, you'll probably be thrilled and have an amazing time. BUT.. if you're an experienced resort hopper, you might be let down. The food was mostly mediocre, though there were a few better offerings on occasion. The resort itself felt very spread out - lots of long walk commutes (but there are "golf cart" shuttles making rounds that you can jump on). One big disappointment is the actual view from the beach. At this moment, at least, there are large dark/ugly barriers placed out in the water along the entire resort area, which dash all hopes of gazing out over unbroken crystal clear blue ocean views. You're still at the beach with sunshine, sand, palm trees and water, but frankly it was not the post card view most people will expect to see (I've included a pic) after traveling to Mexico for that big "AMAZING" moment. On the plus side, the staff was very friendly and mostly attentive, the pool areas are nice, and of course, you're still on a beach in Mexico. 🙂 Once is enough for us on this one, however.

Just returned from our holiday at the Blue Bay.Can't say enough about the wonderful staff.Ruperta and Candido at the Buffet, Eddie at the Black and White and Andres at the beach bar.Service was phenomenal. The food at the specialty restaurants was fantastic - I think our favourite was the Mexican but they were all excellent.Everyone went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and the AC worked well. They are dealing with the stresses and restrictions that the Pandemic has caused and are doing a great job.Some of the restaurants are closed and some of the bars are closing a bit earlier than normal.All of this should be expected in these times and we had no problem with this.There were still lots of food and beverage options. Had an amazing time and can't wait to go back.

We did a family vacation during COVID times Dec 25 to 31 2021 and the hotel was great everything was very clean all the staff wore mask at all times of the dayat night and try the best they could to keep the guest safe. I particularly used the gym and was alwaysclean you could also disinfected the equipment before and after with the provided bottles of disinfectan.At the buffet the hotel provided disposablegloves to get the food and mask if you got to the door without one. We did not got any excursions or day trip so I can't comment on that. What we did was explore the beach and walk along the coast, I recommend going to the next hotel to the river and sea junction is awesome. The beach had some seaweed but nothing crazy, as a matter of fact, the Blue Bay beach area was the one with less seaweed and waves so that in my book is a plus. The hotel rooms need some updates but is not bad . We had no complaints and we definetly will go back. If you go enjoy the scenery watch the birds and please wear the mask if you are not eating.

Visitamos este hotel hace 8 y 5 años. Al día de hoy deja mucho que desear en servicio, mantenimiento y limpieza. No hay suficientes carritos para llevarte a tu habitación con tus maletas, se nota que trabajan con mucho menos personal y tratan de ahorrar en alimentos y bebidas, puede ser efecto de la pandemia, si es así espero pronto recuperen la calidad y servicio que venían manejando. Definitivamente no creo volver a este hotel.

En general un muy buen hotel, tanto el buffet como los restaurantes a la carta que se encuentran dentro tienen muy buena comida (lo mejor de nuestra estancia), todos los días cuentan con varios eventos lo que lo hace excelente, además el hotel es bastante grande y sus dos piscinas de 1.20m lo hacen adecuado para toda la familia. En la temporada baja de inicios de diciembre hay poco sargazo y también había un poco de basura. La limpieza a la habitación no es tan buena, ya que dejan prácticamente igual a como estaba antes.

Make sure you read the recent reviews! Seems like it may have been a nice place at one time. The resort is very pretty, a little too big, but nice. The service is MISERABLE! I’m not talking the bartenders or wait staff, I’m talking concierge, front desk, room service and towel people. Check in was very rush rush, and no explanation of the resort or how things work. When someone stole our towels off our pool chairs, the towel people told me I could not have new ones! It’s not like the front desk is within 2 miles to walk to and complain and get new towel cards. It is impossible to catch the few golf carts/trolleys driving around. The guys driving them seem nice, but tell you they will come back and then don’t! (Except for Jesus, he was amazing). You need to have yourpassport with you at the front concierge to book your COVID test. Even though they have a copy of it right behind the check in counter, you will need to walk to two miles back to your room to get it and take it back to schedule a test. If you lose your WiFi password paper, they will not give it to you over the phone, they make you walk the two miles back to the lobby to get it. When we checked in, there was no water bottles in our room. I called and asked for some and they said they would send them and they didn’t. The next morning, I called again and they said they would send some, and still nothing! Finally, on the third day I chased the guy down the hallway to get some! There was also blood on the back of our pillow case! Gross!!! I’ve been to 20+ all inclusives, some cheaper, some higher end, but no matter what it doesn’t take much to make me happy on vacation! Good service with a smile is really all I need and this place just can’t manage that! I would suggest looking at any other place besides this one! If you need a suggestion in this price range, feel free to PM me and I will give you a list of other places to go with staff that has a goal of giving you a great vacation!

El servicio es excelente desde que llegas te reciben muy cordial mente, en cuanto a la limpieza es un lugar que cumple con las medidas de sanidad , el ambiente es muy agradable ya que esfamiliar , en cuanto a las instalaciones tiene albercas grandes , y habitaciones muy cómodas, y sobre todo tiene variedad de alimentos ! Las habitaciones pésimas, olían a humedad, tenían los espejos manchados, le hace falta mucho mantenimiento al hotel. Es difícil trasladarse del lobby a la playa si tienes a personas de tercera edad o niños (es tan grande que todo te queda lejos) Ninguna de las anteriores está tan mal, si no fuera porque la atención es sumamente deficiente, aclaro que no todos, pero la mayoría de los meseros te tratan “diferente” si parece que en tu billetera hay dólares. No vale para nada lo que pagamos, pésimo.

Instalaciones descuidadas, no hay un trato adecuado a los visitantes mexicanos y el servicio de transporte dentro del hotel no es continuo como lo señalan. Playa muy lejana a las habitaciones. El restaurante detrás del lobby, excelente en trato y alimentos, pero no es suficiente para la mala experiencia que se vive al interior. La vista desde la habitación también excelente.

No les recomiendo el Blue Bay es 3 estrellas,todo te queda lejos, los restaurantes, playay no tienen carritos de transporte interno suficientes para dar un servicioya no digo bueno, ni siquiera "regular". No puedes hacer excursiones que no compres con ellos, porque para ello debes salir de hotel.No permiten acceso de vehículos de transporte que no les paguen una cuota. Si lo haces,regresas caminando como 2 kilómetros hasta el lobby. Porque esos son sus "protocolos" . La pasamos muy mal. Lástima de instalaciones y ubicación. Pésima política de monopolio

Stayed at Bluebay from 12/18-28/21.
Resort was very clean, and staff was professional and great the entire stay.
Room was clean, and a little dated. We spent little time in our room, so I was happy with the room. Air conditioner was pleasantly cooler than I expected. Ended up turning it off a couple times. Was 80 F outside most of the time.
Food was great. Would recommend the buffet by the ocean/pool! Less people, and food was great for both breakfast and lunch. View is also awesome by the ocean.
We ended up doing a lot of walking around the resort. We also walked to Playa del Carmen by the beach one day, and took a taxi back for $375 pesos ($20).
Would recommend this resort!!!

I would've given the hotel higher, probably around 4 stars, if the last day of my stay never happened. During our last night, we had reserved for the seafood restaurant, which was only available that evening. Big mistake. Food was tasty, just like at the Mexican and Italian restaurants that we had visited prior to that evening, but after going to bed I got extreme pains. Turns out we a had food poisoning, and I got it the worst since I finished my family's plates. Barely slept that night (after vomiting), the next day we had to travel back, and it was probably the most painful and unbearable experience ever! Took about a week before I could eat normally again! Please be careful when eating the food, especially the sea food. Oh and our room neighbor, an elderly woman, had eaten at the French restaurant that same evening, and also got food poisoning from the fish. Disappointing!
The rest was great, would definitely come back to Mexico, but never here just because of the food.

Las áreas comunes del hotel son muy bonitas. La comida es buena. Sin embargo las habitaciones así como los edificios donde están los cuartos están muy deteriorados. Los cuartos se ven viejos y tiene mal olor (olor a humedad). El personal no es muy atento, aunque nunca tuve problemas con alguno de ellos. Si encuentras un buen precio por noche esta bien.

My stay at Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda was nothing short of fantastic. I visited in Nov 2020 during the pandemic, they ensured to keep the place sanitized and safe. The service I received was really great. I really enjoyed the food, it was some of the best resort food I’ve ever experienced. The beach was also very nice, I spent a lot of time relaxing on a beach chair with a book in hand. One of my favourite parts of this resort was the bar by the beach which uses swings for seats. So cute! If you’re looking for a quick getaway and the prices look right, don’t miss out on booking this place. I definitely would recommend!

No lo recomiendo si les toca hospedarse en un edificio lejos de la playa, es un problema horrible llegar caminando a la playa si tienes niños o adultos mayores contigo, porque los carritos que te llevan escasean y siempre van llenos. Mi hermana se lastimó un dedo y el servidor de médico tiene costo extra. No había línea en el teléfono de los cuartos por lo que no podíamos pedir transporte o room service. Además de que el servicio para check in es super tardado. El lugar si es muy bonito y están ricas las bebidas del bar. De ahí en fuera meh, yo no regreso.

Los carros de golf tardan demasiado y el restaurant lejos de las habitaciones, Tardan tanto que para el checkout, tuve que irme arrastrando las maleta hasta el lobby. En area de pisina No hay pool bar ni snak bar cerca y tampoco te permiten comida en el area de los camastros,yo lo atribuyo a que hay una plaga de tejones(el mono y el otro animalito de la foto no se portan mal) q revisan tu bolsa en busca de comida.(si quieres sabritas ahi te venden la bolsa en un kiosko) La comida en el restaurant no es nada del otro mundo. El servicio de alimentos a la habitacion tiene costo de 120 pesos pero restrigido a un platillo o sea!! \o/ . Ojala mejoren su teatro, no es nada elegante (vean el piso). Lo unico rescatable son los animadores, la gran pisina y los bartender todos muy amables. Aun asi no volveré.

Lo más grave,su personal roba a los huéspedes, y son tolerados por el propio hotel, demostramos con pruebas que nos robaron efectivo y solo recibimos amenazas. Considerando que la idea de CONCIERGE que tiene el hotel, sea ir a hacer fila a la 7 a.m., previa caminata bajo la lluvia, para reservar una simple cena, NO REGRESARÉ. Aunado al pequeño detalle, de que se le tiene que suplicar a sus "carritos", te lleven de un lugar a otro, a sabiendas que las distancias dentro del hotel, son complicadas de caminar.

The staff was amazing. Francisco is a server in the buffet and he should be recognized for his amazing service. He is so friendly and kind. We loved him so much. Blue bay, if you are seeing this please recognize Francisco for his outstanding service to guests. He was exceptional. That being said, there was so many other amazing staff. We didn't have a single bad experience with any of the employees. All of them were respectful, kind, and helpful. The rooms were cleaned daily and the AC was great and always working. The seafood, Mexican, and Italian restaurant were exceptionally delicious. We loved eating at those and all of the food we ate was always delicious. If you visit this place you won't regret it!!!! Thanks for the awesome stay!
P.S. If you are an American, you will have to pay $35 per covid test to come back.

Very cheap service, a few people were very helpful and friendly like Belen at the front desk and Adrian at the restaurant beside them the people were very rude. During the hurricane, they even care that I was pregnant and I needed to eat every two hours; they didn't let me took a few fruits from the restaurant during the storm. The food is terrible; the two buffets are really bad. If you don't have an appointment for one of the restaurants you have to eat the same food that they offer at lunch, which is there since 12 o'clock. The cars don't pick you up, the towels in the room are in bad shape, you have to call them to go to your room for cleaning, the hotel is not in good condition. The principal pool looks like is never been cleaned, the color is disgusting. If you have the opportunity to go to another hotel go, this one is having a lot of issues with the customer service, staff, food, etc.

I have been to blue bay in the past and I loved it so I decided to return but this time it wasn’t what I accepted, the rooms were very dirty, the sheets were not changed for the whole time we were there, we had to call and ask for everything, such as towels, shampoo and etc! The food was not good because it was cold and not a lot of options. My sister fell and hurt her self because of the water that was on the floor due to them being dirty! I complainedto a supervisor and instead of her making sure my sister was ok, she said why was she walking there that’s for the employees like she doesn’t care about employees safety which was very unprofessional and heartless!!!! Overall my experience is been terrible and I will never return…..

Bien, pero deja mucho a que desear.Para empezar, hay que mejorar el trato hacia los mexicanos y tratar de eliminar el "malinchismo", muchas veces se notaba la diferencia en el trato respecto de los extranjeros; por una parte eso, luego hay que mejorar el aspecto de las habitaciones porque no son equivalentes a los de su competencia; ahora, en cuanto a la comida, podría mejorar por lo que hace al sabor y preparación de algunos alimentos en el bufete, por ejemplo, el tocino que siempre salía quemado y no estaba crujiente y es algo que a la mayoría les gusta comer y no es apetecible por la forma en como lo hacen; finalmente, deben de hacer algo para que los vehículos transportadores dentro del hotel sean más abundantes, pues el complejo y la distancia de un lugar a otro es grande, el calor increíble y los vehículos escasos.La verdad no volvería a ir porque el complejo no lograr atrapar al cliente mexicano en algún aspecto, en todos los ámbitos a calificar se quedan a medias.

Mala experienciaTotalmente decepcionados por haber elegido este hotel , creímos que por ser 5 estrellas sería buen hotel pero nos equivocamos , para empezar muy mal servicio en recepción , tuvimos muchos poroblemas con las habitaciones , desde que llegamos nos pasaron a una habitación que no funcionaba el aire acondicionado, pedimos que nos cambiaran de habitación y nos pasaron a una suite con 2 camas y éramos 5 personas, en fin nos dejaron en 2 dobles y nos traía a puras vueltas , en la caja fuerte se llevaron 170 dólares y gerencia no hizo nada por resolver el problema siendo que se le demostró evidencias , lo que si quiero agradecer es la atención de todos los meseros y gente que si de verdad te atienden muy bien ( Candido mesero ) , en los bares la gente que atiende muy bien , la comida muy rica eso si pero lo otro deja muy mala experiencia , no volveríamos !

We had issues with the toilet that wasn't flashing. It took around 3 days out of 5 we were staying in Bluebay to have maintenance to come and fix it. The bathroom wasn't getting cleaned up daily. The pool has algae and the water doesn't look clean. To reserve a dinner at a restaurant is barely impossible! if you reserve two day ahead concierge will advise to reserve from a day earlier, if you reserve one day ahead it's already fully booked... On check out day we called in reception to request for a transfer from our room to the lobby which never arrived and we risked to loose the shuttle to the airport. The hotel is so huge and dispersed and I have the feeling the guest is just a number and not a "guest". Disappointed and not recommended and I didn't get the attention I expected. Downgrade the hotel to 3 stars.

Everyone one was so nice and accommodating. They do everything they can to keep the resort safe but also comfortable for guests. The food was great, the shows were great, and the only complaint I really have is that the ac in our room didn’t work the best. But besides that my boyfriend and I had a really great time and I thank Blue Bay for a great first experience to Mexico. Can’t wait to come back.

Puede que sea por el COVID, pero unas instalaciones que prometen mucho no se ven acompañadas del resto de cosas importantes que suponen una estancia de calidad. Los restaurantes especiales, dedicados a diferentes países, ofrecen una comida que es simplemente mala: platos hechos hace tanto tiempo que no serían aceptados ni por la beneficencia, chocolate fundido que está pegado al plato, foie blanco que es mantequilla y queso con una insinuación de foie... Detallar todo es imposible. El vino, español y con la cantidad de vinos españoles que hay a precios imbatibles, sencillamente no valdría ni para cocinar... Sin contar con que reservas la cena, te indican que se celebra en un determinado restaurante, y cuando vas descubresquelo han cambiado sin avisar, y terminas recorriendo las instalaciones de punta a punta, y no una vez... Sin duda, el restaurante buffet principal ofrece mucha más calidad que los de especialidades. La calidad de las bebidas solo las justifica, por decir algo, que son gratuitas: cerveza sin presión ni sabor, como si mezclarán un barril de cerveza con otro de agua, mojitos sin azúcar ni atractivo, piña colada aguada... Las habitaciones están bien, lastima que los servicios de habitaciones o minibar las visiten a cualquier hora, de manera que si quieres descansar es probable que, sea la hora que sea, te interrumpa el personal de servicio. Las instalaciones son lo mejor, con un entorno natural a la altura de esta zona, espacios amplios y generosos y una oferta suficiente. Hace ya mucho que estuve y la verdad que tiene muchas cosas buenas pero tanto por precio como por condiciones de otros hoteles cercanos dejaba mucho que desear. No tiene barra dentro de la piscina, los empleados te llaman mucho la atención tanto de día como de noche, yo estuve de fiesta de fin de carrera y claro es verdad que hacíamos algo de ruido pero vamos que todo el apartamento era casi de gente joven y de fiesta. Luego los precios de las tiendas dentro del hotel muy elevados, de eso que nadie comprara nada en ellos salvo cosas necesarias. En fin para estar en un hotel con bar 24 horas no entiendo la poca mano izquierda para los ruidos, e indico que tampoco hicimos un ruido excesivo. Tuvimos amezana de bomba el hotel nos facilito un día más gratuito con varias habitaciones, fue un detalle pero teníamos que convivir en grupos grandes. Seguro que no vuelvo viendo otros hoteles de la zona.

Quarto aconchegante, agito durante o dia na área da piscina e calmaria e tranquilidade a noite. Várias opções de restaurantes. Pizza deliciosa feita na hora em 5 minutos no Sport Bar. Local bonito, presença de flora e fauna no local. Piscina enorme e de frente para o mar. Funcionários muito atencioso e bilingues (inglês e espanhol) porém se esforçam para falar um portunhol kkkk.

O ponto positivo da minha avaliação vai para a limpeza do quarto, tudo o resto é medíocre ou tão mau que o melhor é nem pensar muito para não teres a férias estragadas. A “Praia” é a coisa mais nojenta e feia que vi até hoje, só por isso o hotel já deveria fechar. Sacos com areia abertos (para travar a erosão) junto com uma imensidão de sargaço (algas) que não é limpo e um cheiro putrefacto é a descrição da praia deste hotel. Infelizmente esqueçam caminhar para qualquer outra praia porque apesar de ter areia nos outros hotéis ao lado, o sargaço também marca presença. Com isto, sobra-nos uma piscina com 1,25m de profundidade e com pedras/azulejos que te irão cortar (cuidado! Várias pessoas sangram todos os dias naquelas piscinas). Relativamente à comida, os bufetes são aceitáveis, para o tipo de comida que se serve neste tipo de resorts, os restaurantes que tens que reservar 24horas antes todos os dias caso queiras comer algo diferente são terríveis, típica comida processada ultracongelada. Por fim, nem pensar em comprar qualquer tour no hotel! Apanhem um táxi até Playa del Carmen e nas centenas de bancas que vendam tours regateiem até encontrar k preço mais baixo! (Não fiz tour que custasse mais que 40€ tudo incluído - transportes,comida,etc). Por fim, o staff. Tipicamente caribeño, que pedincha todo o dia por “Propina”, “tips”, “gorjeta”. Lei do menor esforço que não gosta de trabalhar,reclama, e tenta extorquir o máximo dos turistas. A diferença de outros povos do Caribe, os mexicanos são extremamente mal educados e de um mau humor constante. Em 9 dias de estadia neste hotel, apenas uma pessoa do staff nos perguntou “que tal todo?” (Infelizmente a intenção também era vender algo - as usual). É um hotel muito grande, onde é difícil a deslocação, não há NADA para fazer, não há praia, a animação é irrelevante (feita por brasileiros, dominicanos, etc -porque os mexicanos não sorriem sequer), tem apenas um bar 24 horas onde os americanos reformados jogam Bingo. Em suma,Não aconselho! Poupem o vosso dinheiro e escolham outra opção no caribe, de preferência fora do México porque a extensão das algas de sargaço estende-se por toda a sua costa e por mais que digam que o governo irá ajudar com fundos, isso em tempo mexicano significa uns bons anos.

Praia boa para crianças 🚸 sem ondulação. Negativo. Qualidade sonora do anfiteatro e espetáculos. Música ambiente no buffet da praia repetitiva. (estivermos 7 dias e em 5 deles ouvimos a mesma música.) Falta também animação noturna,tipo bar com música e ou discoteca. Ainda negativa a praia em certas alturas com sargaço e mau cheiro.

La peor experiencia, desde la llegada nos entregan una habitación sin sanitizar, húmeda, con mal olor, no servía el a/a, el teléfono no tenía línea, tuve que pedir prestado un teléfono de un cuarto vecino, la atención de la asistente nefasta y prepotente, el frigobar solo tenía una botella de agua media vacía 🤢🤦🏻 pero lo que si me llegó al límite fue el servicio de transporte dentro del hotel 😡 ancianos y niños caminando distancias largas para ir a los restaurantes o las albercas, y ni se diga las maletas que tienes que llevar cargando hasta la recepción (llegué a esperar hasta 40 min un carrito para que se llevara por lo menos a los niños y adultos mayores, solo te dicen que no van para allá) 😡😡 si vieron esta publicación muy tarde o de plano ya se animaron a sufrir 😂 una sugerencia es que pidan una habitación cerca de la playa, son las mejores (son las que les ofrecen a los extranjeros) 😑

If I could give ZERO stars, I would. I literally just got back today. I stayed there 5/21-5/25 and it was the pits from start to finish. The rooms were old and outdated. Our tv was the size of my computer monitor at work, the picture quality was horrendous. The elevator didn’t work so we had to walk up a flight each time... the food was horrible! The drinks were just as bad. The pool was dirty and no smell of chlorine at all. Trash was seen floating in there. We didn’t get in at all. The beach was blah. Overall, this place was horrible and I will never return and wouldn’t ever refer them to anyone. The only upside was the staff. They were friendly. The front desk staff were all over the place giving us wrong information. We were told we had to get our Covid tests on Sunday when in reality we had to do it Saturday! Stay away from this place unless you want to waste your money!!

Súper bien las instalaciones, el servicio y la limpieza, definitivamente vale la pena, sobre todo si vienen en plan familiar y todo incluido, ya que en comparación de otros hoteles de la misma categoría, los precios son bastante razonables. Recomendable 100%. P.D Si hay sargazo en la playa del hotel, sin embargo pueden ir a playa delfines, tortugas o alguna otra que se mantiene un poco más limpia por ubicación, de otro modo pueden disfrutar de las albercas y actividades.

El servicio es muy bueno todos son muy amables,lo que no me gustó mucho fue la comida y que solo tengan un restaurante abierto además que se llena y hay que hacer fila hasta de 30 min. El show comienza a las 9:30 PM y el restaurante se cierra a las 10:00 PM en mi caso tuvimos que elegir entre cenar o ver el show porque estaba llenisimo el restaurante y el servicio a cuarto se cierra a la 10:30 PM es la primera vez que me pasa y que además tiene un costo extra de $120.00

Es un lugar con grandes contradicciones. La entrada muy mal, tenemos un problema y nadie lo resuelve. La habitación limpia, con buen servicio. Sin embargo tiene la ducha tapada y nadie hace nada en seis días que estuvimos. La alberca y la playa muy padre, solo el domingo vimos sargazo que nadie quita. Wonderful resort. Of course, due to covid and low occupancy, a lot was closed, and there were some pretty big pushes for their vacation stay package and the excursions, but we politely and firmly said no thanks and they normally left. Some new friends sat through the presentation for the vacation club and it took six hours! Not how I like to spend vacation. We only did buffets and other than a bit of a poor set up with the omelette station bottlenecking the whole line, food was good. Everyday was something different, and we didn't have anything we didn't like. The staff and grounds were perfect-warm and beautiful. Several waiters or bartenders would remember us from day to day and call us by name. We saw a couple of the shows, and they were on par or better than you might expect. The room was clean and we left a list of what we wanted stocked and the maid did it consistently. We would return!

This by far is not a 5 star hotel. Maybe 2.5 stars. When the booking agent called to question wether they had accessible rooms because that was the only type of room we needed. They assured the agent that we would be placed in one. Get to the resort the room is under renovation. We just booked the resort a few weeks before we got there. Back to the room situation the room smelled horrible. Called to switch they didn’t have any but promised to move us the next day. Next day we are moved but the shower was not properly cleaned. There was blonde hair in the shower and my hair is black. The mirror needs to be replaced looks horrible. The room smelled better though. The accessible ramps are nice but not when everything is far and you have to walk. The pavement was not smooth which made for the person who is in a wheelchair a little hard. The gold carts are nice but sometimes the wheelchair accessible one was not in use. The food was decent but not enough to rave about. I have had better at different resorts. Some of the alcohol tasted a little funny. The best part was that the staff was friendly. If the room situations are fixed along with the food, this place has potential. Until then I DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Great place to visit. Family did not want to leave. The pools were awesome. Food wasn't bad. They had really good steak. Breakfast was really good. They made sure we got a good morning remedy from our hangovers. The only thing we didn't like was the long walks from the room to the nightly dinner. Shuttles weren't always available because they catered to the timeshare people. Really nice people. The rooms were outdated. But overall trip was still good.

I am so glad I ended up not booking this place! The pics they uploaded on here are 5+ years old. Some friends went recently and recommended I book somewhere else. The beach is rocky and not what you expect from the Riviera Maya and the rooms are outdated.

I enjoyed the comfy bed and large shower. The entire resort is huge with multiple swimming pools and restaurants. Staff are friendly and are regularly driving golf carts to help people get around if needed. Even though I don’t drink alcohol the bar had lots of drink options. I went to the gym in the morning, which was well-equipped. I ate at Jaal-Ha Restaurant multiple times during my stay and I liked the food. Service was exceptional from Daniel. He always ensured we were taken care of. Food at the Italian restaurant was tasty but the service was quite slow the evening that we went. A talented group of performers displayed cultural dances during one of the entertainment nights, which was beautiful to watch. We did not swim in the beach but we lounged beside it on the beach chairs.

Currently staying here and as an employee of hotels.com I am definitely not impressed! Not a good first impression. The room had crushed bugs on the floor and mosquitoes which bit my son. The room has obviously not been cleaned. Originally I wanted to change my room because the package we bought we were supposed to have a swim up room. I spoke with front desk and then concierge. We were going to change rooms but they did not offer us the swim up room and said we'd have to pay $120 extra each night so the following day I just decided not to bother changing rooms because it wasn't the room that we wanted or paid for. Definitely no gardenview. As for the pool the water is cold it's a nice layout and there's no snack bar this is a problem because I'm a hypoglycemic I get low blood sugar. The only store by the pool I went to try to buy snacks from is overpriced crazy overpriced it's the only option for snacks and they wanted six or seven dollars just for chips!!! I will be submitting my report Tuesday. This place is far from calling itself a resort!

Best holiday! Amazing hotel to stay in, 100% recommend. We stayed here June 2019 for our anniversary. Overall Very clean and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, and make sure you have the best time. We enjoyed coming back to the room to see the creative towel decorations left on our bed. We loved spending time in the pools and the pineapple drinks were fun. The arts crafts area near the beach pool was fun and there is lots for guests to do. There were many different styles of restaurants and lots of tasty food available all day for everyone to choose from. The night time entertainment was great and we loved the big aerobatic show. The weather was great too. Really enjoyed staying here, I hope we get to stay here again in the future!

Resort barato e aceitável porque é barato! A praia é impossível visitar, cheira mal, tem lodo no fundo e cheia de sargaço. Tem inclusive estacas afiadas num dos lados da praia, muito perigoso! A piscina que até me pareceu muito aceitável, não tem massa de juntas nos azulejos o que os torna cortantes. Cortei pé, mão e cotovelo! Café não existe neste resort! Servem água suja e mal xeirosa. Falta café expresso em todo o lado. Mas pelo que vi é quase impossível tomar um bom café no México. Só consegui no starbucks. O buffet até funciona bem e a comida é boa e diversa. Os restaurantes à carta não são grande coisa.. Os mexicanos não são muito simpáticos e estão sempre a pedir propina!

Just recently stayed at this resort, first I have to say most of the staff were beyond fantastic. Jose at the Black & White was great and friendly, Obed driving the taxi shuttles around the resort was super, Orlando at the Steak Restaurant was also great. What made us decide to never visit this resort again is the so called perks (scams). Like the jewelry store visit, we were told that we do a tour of the store learn how they make the stuff, instead it's a scam no tour only a sales clerk trying everything to make you buy their merchandise. Then the 90 minute (turned into 2.5 hours) tour to buy a vacation time share, at one point the "manager" got very confrontational because we refused to buy a plan. I there to relax not almost being forced to buy. Also we had two rooms bags we searched by cleaning and stuff has been taken, so LOCK all bags. Then at check out the front desk person started yelling at us that we probably had people in our room that took stuff and didn't even want to listen to our comment. I will not recommend this resort to people I know. Nice place very clean and friendly just beware.

Great place to stay! We had so much fun. The staff was friendly and very helpful with everything. The room accommodations were nice. We loved having our porch to relax on when we weren't at the pool or beach. The pool is fabulous there was always a chair available somewhere and the staff would walk around asking if you wanted a drink or needed anything. Deanna at the artisan crafts is so sweet and we were able to take home some beautiful ceramics we painted ourselves. Angelo in the kitchen/room service was so fun to talk to and he always had a laugh for us. Rooms were always clean and room service was always fast. The food is great and so much to choose from. We had a different restaurant every night. I highly reccomend!

We had a wonderful time at the BlueBay Grand Esmeralda in Mexico. We travelled with 3 children (9, 14 & 17)
Staff is very friendly and helpful. We arrived at 11.00 and could check in to the rooms immediately (although check is at 15.00) 👍🏻
Room and bathroom is clean and neat.
Pool is great, with a really friendly entertainment team. They offer a lot of different games and activities. Our children had a great time playing in the pool and at the beach.
Beach and sea was clean on the day of arrival. Great for swimming. After a few days, once the wind changed, there was seaweed on the beach. Staff started cleaning the beach immediately.
Restaurants (buffet, Mexican, Italian, French, Oriental, Steak, Fish) are nice. Some food is prepared (and not always very hot).
Drinks are good. They are very generous with alcoholic drinks and make good (non alcoholic) mix drinks for the kids.
The gardens are very green and good maintain, where wildlife walks freely.
