“Simple, understated yet classically cool and epitomizing old-school hotel service and boutique charm. The bar and restaurant (Oro) are both standouts highly recommended. The rooms are dark and cool and depending on which you stay in historical feeling. If possible though checkout the John Wayne suite at the top floor, front of the hotel because that suite is the showstopper of the hotel. Located within the original boundaries of the Alamo, this back-in-the-day hospital (yes! this Double Tree gem was a hospital for many years- which may explain the plethora of ghost sightings at this hotel) forces you to feel like you're staying in a modern and upscale hotel while also being amongst important history and the feeling that you are quite literally staying in a place that matters and has for a long time.”

For my family and friends it is a magnificent place to visit and stay!But our true opinion and review is simply the best hotel in the Hilton’s chain, and in the whole world really, with certainty and category!Because all of Emily Morgan's entire team were responsible for my family, making it through 2020, this year so unique and difficult in the whole world, in the most hopeful, calm way, only with the memories of kindness, affection, friendship, unforgettable and so precious moments! That was what gave us strength for the happiness and wonderful indescribable moments that we live on Easter holidays and the end of the year from 2019 to 2020! For this reason, I recommend this Hotel to people who really want the best of everything for family, friends and for themselves. More than the best quality of place and services, it is the best team of human beings that I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and being able to call my friends! And just to top it off ... this hotel has the best location in San Antonio, the best breakfast, lunch, dinner, special dinner, it is historic, reports of visitors (ghosts) from the Alamo era, and it is beautiful !!
