“My family and I stayed overnight on our journey to Corolla, NC. Upon walking in the room was nice and we started to get settled in; I'd even gone as far as taking a shower. My son comes in and used the restroom and the toilet wouldn't flush. I called downstairs and the young lady said that she'd see what she can do as there was maintenance staff on duty. She said at best we'd have to change rooms. Her supervisor then gets on the phone telling me to try this and try that (which didn't work). She then says, "and you all don't want to switch rooms, correct?" And I responded, "well you haven't asked me if I wanted to switch rooms or even gave that as an option". She then said she'd check her inventory and call us back. 20 minutes later and this call still hadn't come. Now mind you I am ready for now as by the time we checked in it was about 7:30 on October 29th and we had gone out before actually going to our room. So my mom decided to go down there and check. Low and behold the lady had told her she'd forgot because it was so busy and moved us to a room across the hall. Like how did you forget about us if once you got off the phone, you were checking inventory to get us a room? Breakfast here was fine. I liked that they had a mini waffle maker instead of the big one. The employees clearly do not take pride in how they come to work in the mornings. Since we were leaving out early to continue our journey, we got down to breakfast pretty early. The young lady was walking around in sweats and some type of slides.”

“Just a bad stay. Rotting fruit on breakfast bar. Dirty headboard and stained comforter on bed. Dirty shower floor. No housekeeping svc. Pet svc area are not maintained -no poop bags at any of the 4 areas around the hotel. Management does not follow up. They leave at 5pm whether your room was done or not. Really ruined my trip. Was told by customer svc that they are the bottom of the Marriott chain. Didn't know that. Just wanted a safe, comfy, staff with the amenities promised. Bryana and Mahogany are great at trying to help.”
